Nick and Macy walked on the beach. Nick kept a distance away from her. Letting the sea water rush up and down his feet. He was thinking about her. How he could tell her. He looked at the luminous sun which the sea reflected and sparkled against, and ran his hand though his curls and sighed.
Nick finally looked at her. She kept her head down. The brim of her hat hid her eyes. Finally she looked up at him, eyes sparkling, and smiled. Nick smiled and walked up.
"Macy?" He asked her.
"Yeah Nick?" The unsuspecting voice asked him.
"Can I tell you something?"
"Sure anything." Macy replied. The two stopped. Out of his pocket Nick pulled out a perfectly shaped seashell. He took Macy's hands and put it in her own hands.
"I love you." Nick said. Macy stood there. She had never suspected Nick to tell her this. She didn't say anything. The fan was thinking through everything and taking it all in. But Nick got the wrong impression.
"I understand if you don't. Um," Nick thought about what to do. "Bye." Nick said running off. Macy took her eyes off the beautiful shell in her hands and looked at him. Running swiftly across the sand. Then the answer hit her like lightning.
"Wait! Nick!" Macy called. She ran after him. Thunder crashed and a storm took place. Rain poured down over her. Macy didn't notice that she had dropped the shell. She was out of breath by the time she reached the house. She searched everywhere. No Nick. Finally she found him outside, sitting cross-legged at the pool.
"Nick."
"Listen, Macy, forget what I said."
"Nick it's fine. You didn't let me answer." I love you too." Macy said sitting next to him. Nick looked up at her. Macy smiled. Nick smiled back. The two sat next to each other. Nick put his arm around her. Then, the storm stopped. As if the whole storm was only set off by Nick's broken heart. But now that Nick was happy. The storm had stopped. A rainbow appeared in the sky.
