"You think I don't know how this feels?"

"No, you don't know how it feels! Your parents are dead. You have no family."

But he did. Ron didn't get it. Harry was listening to the radio all the time, for those whom he considered family. Mrs. Weasley. Mr. Weasley. Bill. Fleur. Charlie. Fred. George. Ginny. The list went on and on. And many of them had died.

He had had to suffer three summers after literally witnessing people dying. And everyone had cast him aside, assuming he would be okay.

Barely.

He had known and respected Cedric, and everything about him being an amazing student and a true Hufflepuff was correct. He was extremely nice and valued fair play over everything, from trying to forfeit the Quidditch match third year to sacrificing the triwizard cup to a tie, because Harry helped him. Unfortunately, Harry was just as stubborn. And Wormtail had killed him. Cedric died because of him.

He had loved Sirius like a father combined with a brother, and they had been closer than the Golden Trio those two years. But Harry had been stupid enough to listen to Voldemort, and gone to the Department of Mysteries. And Sirius had been killed by Bellatrix. If he had only practiced Occlumency…

And then the next year, Dumbledore had been killed by Snape. He still blamed himself, for letting Malfoy go under his nose. But he also blamed Ron, Hermione, Malfoy, and Snape. Ron and Hermione for ignoring him, and Snape and Malfoy for doing the actual killing. And it was for nothing.

And the Dursleys had treated him like a pile of crap. They ignored him, but otherwise made a face when he was in the room. No sympathy. But at least they didn't necessarily treat him bad. But they didn't know what he had been through. Dudley has really pissed him off before fifth year when he had asked who Cedric was, and even teased him for it!

But the Dursleys had no reason to treat him bad. Other than Petunia hating his mother.

The wizarding world had a reason to treat him good, though. But they rode on his fame, immediately turning away if even one fact was against him. He had experienced this first, second, fourth, and fifth year, when almost the entire school was mad at him.

First year it was when they had been caught with the dragon and McGonagall had taken away so many points. Second year was when people thought he had opened the Chamber of Secrets. Fourth year when people though he had put his name in the Goblet of Fire. And fifth year when people didn't believe him when he said ole Voldy was back.

So they had no reason to treat him bad, but they did. For some reason especially when he was at his worst. He did know the true meaning of suffering.

Ron didn't.
