Chapter 1- Finny
Today I was outside in the garden, trimming the hedges, when I started thinking about Mey- Rin, so I accidentally started to cut the bushes and trees, but when I came back to my senses they all looked like her, the most beautiful maid ever! So I ran back inside to show Mister Sebastian, and when he saw it he looked very angry…
"W-w-what did you do?! Why did you cut all of this to look like Mey-Rin? I know I gave you creative freedom, but that doesn't mean you must sculpt the only female in the house!"
"I-I didn't mean to! I was just thinking about her and I didn't realize what I was doing! Please don't hurt me, sir!" He just stood there and sighed at me.
"Here, take this," he handed me some money, "and go get some fruit trees from the gardening place. The young master likes cherries, apples, and pears. I'll take care of this monstrosity that you created."
"Yes sir!" so after that I went to the gardening place and I got the trees. On my way back I noticed I had some extra money, so I went and got Mey-Rin a little present. I got her some coloured contacts.
"Mister Sebastian! I have the trees! Where do you want them?" I brought them into the garden area where Sebastian was.
"Well actually, you can set them over there," he pointed at a bunch of holes from where he dug out the old trees, and can you take care of these clippings?"
"Of course! Oh, do you want your change back?"
"No you can keep it. You might be able to get something for a certain individual with it."
Well, when he put it that way, I put the money back in my pocket, and went into the house to see Mey-Rin.
"Mey-Rin! Where are you? I have a present for you!"
"Oh what is it?" She came towards me wobbling as usual, she almost fell but I caught her just in time.
"So today I was out getting some fruit trees for the young master, when I stumbled into another shop on my way back. And I saw this, so I just had to get it for you!" I held out a little box for her so she could open it.
She opened it, and she didn't look happy. But she wasn't angry either. She looked kind of surprised.
"Why did you get me these?"
"Y-you don't like them?"
"No, I do, but I was just wondering if you knew that I couldn't see very well…"
"Well you seem to get hurt a lot, and I don't like to see that happen, so I thought these might help…" Wow I sounded stupid!
"Thank you Finny," she put the contacts in, and wow she looked even more beautiful than before, if it were possible. Then she kissed me on the cheek.
"Um... You're welcome…" Thankfully the young master needed something so I ran as fast as I could to attend to his needs.
"Finny, I have a task I wish to ask of you.'
"Yes, sir?
"I want you, Mey-Rin, and Baldo to go to the London home and straighten things out for my arrival tomorrow evening. Can you handle that?"
"You can count on us, sir!"
After that I went out to the garden to check up on Mister Sebastian. I wanted to help him with what I was supposed to be doing anyway. Not surprisingly he had already finished it. Because of that, he had time to get us all on the carriage to get to London.
After we arrived Baldo assumed leadership like the obnoxious soldier he is.
"Finny, Mey-Rin!"
"Yes Mr. Cook man?"
"Watch your bloody tone!"
"Sorry. What do you want us to do?"
He pointed at me, "I want you to go do your gardening and whatnot. And I want Mey-Rin to start polishing and dusting things. Got it?"
Mey-Rin and I did a phony little salute type thing, "Yes Sir!"
"Wait. What are you going to do?"
"I'm going to cook up some dinner for the young master and Sebastian."
"Well… Okay then, let's get going!"
I hope nothing gets burnt!
After all of that we all got done pretty quickly. I made all the bushes and trees all look like a long beautiful dragon!
