This has spoilers for the first two movies and I'm just sorta guessing for the third. So the inspiration for this came because I knew that Pete had made it twenty times harder to accept Kili's death, knowing that he was in love. SO, just like I do for every depressing ending I hear about, I made an AU for it. Basically, Bilbo leaves and Tauriel is sorta trying to bring Kili back. Like, not resurrect him, but bring him back because the love will... bring... him... back. Yeah. Sounds pretty stupid. But it works and they have a depressingly beautiful life afterwards dear Lord I'm sorry you can read if you want tell me if you want me to continue writing out this AU I think it'll be okay R&R peace out imma go cry now. p.s. it's short, just like everything else I write.
And on the battle field, Kili was shot down by an Orc arrow. And all Tauriel saw was red. She killed every evil creature in her path to get to him. And the crimson mist residing in her almost crimson orbs faded and instead filled with tears when she reached her love. Kili gasped for breath as she knelt beside his small stocky body.
He tried to form words. With a deep inhale, he choked out a plea to the star beside him. "Tell Tauriel that I-I love her. For she is not here. She is in the starlight."
Her tears began to drip onto his stubble-covered, blood-stained face. Although she hated to do this, she put a hand to his stomach and grasped the arrow. With a pained cry, she wrenched the barbed arrow out, making Kili scream in pure agony. The elf fumbled for her handkerchief and pressed it into the wound. The pristine white fabric was soon drenched in weeping lifeblood.
As the she-elf worked over him, the battle drew to an end. Kili caught sight of Fili fall dead, and another yell was ripped out of him. Tauriel looked to his face, and he stared back, tears in his eyes. "Can you be Tauriel? If you were her, you would surely spare me and let me die. I cannot bear these pains."
Tauriel shook her head wildly, turning back and lifting Kili's head up from the blood soaked ground. She kissed his chapped lips passionately, willing her life into him. She could not live without him. "Kili! No, Kili, you cannot die!" she wailed as he coughed up blood. "Do not leave me here alone!"
She tore off a piece of her shirt to wipe away the blood on his mouth. "Please don't leave me here alone!" she whispered to him. "Please..."
And while being held in the strong arms of Tauriel, his soul flickered out. The she-elf wept bitter tears for him. And so half of her heart died that day.
