Vampire blood sweeps swifter than wildfire through the thin membranes of his mouth and stomach; corrupting, infecting. Acting on him quicker than love, than lust, than any drug or poison.
Coursing along the same paths torn by chemical infection is pain.
Dean barely notices. He feels his heart beating harder than should be possible, he hears too much all at once, and all his senses are being overwhelmed - but all he can see is Sam's face.
That half-smile. That moment of inaction.
That hurts worse than the turning. Worse than Hell.
Until the fiery contagion wipes his mind clean.
