Mary/Andy
R
Mary Richards lived a fairly simple life. One without many vices. She didn't smoke, she didn't drink too much, and she wasn't into recreational drugs. Addiction of any sort had never been a problem for her. Until now.
Now, after living entirely alone in Minneapolis after five years, Mary found herself in a strange sort of predicament. So had found herself so completely wrapped up in a man that she couldn't breathe. He filled her every thought, her every desire. And she wasn't the type of woman that lived for a man.
Andy Rivers was different. He was the fairytale version that every little girl imagined. Tall, dark, and handsome. Not to mention incredibly charming. But with qualities a grown woman could revel in. He was sexy and exciting, adventurous and thrilling. Strong and virile.
Mary wasn't sure if she was in love with Andy, but her want for him knew no bounds. That was a very dangerous situation to be in.
They were dating. Sort of. Kind of on and off. Their relationship was more physical than anything. And it made their emotions run hot and cold. They would back off for a few days, maybe a week. And then end up right back in the same compromising position they left off in.
Right now their relationship was off. And had been for about five whole days. It had started over some insane line of questioning over one of Mary's ex's. Andy was green was envy and Mary decided his behavior wasn't attractive at all. But that was Thursday. And today was Tuesday.
She knocked on his dressing room door to deliver his sports report. This was something that, Mike, one of the assistants usually did. But not today. Today Mary decided to run it down to the set in person.
She told herself it was out of convenience because she needed to talk to Ted anyway. But she knew she could never get Ted an hour before newscast. It would interrupt his flow. She skipped Ted's dressing room altogether and knocked on Andy's blue door instead.
Andy cracked open the door. Smiling to his delight when he found her on the other side. Mainly because he had just exited the shower and was only in a towel. He opened the door wider, allowing her entrance. "What brings you by?" when she had cleared the threshold he closed the door behind her. "I thought you were mad at me?"
"This is a professional visit, Andy." she tried her very best to keep eye contact with him. To not let her eyes slide over his well toned body. A body she knew every delectable inch of. "I brought you today's copy."
Andy smiled. "Running errands is part of your job now?"
"I was in the general area and I didn't want to run Mike or Doug down here for nothing." Mary eyed the doorknob, watching as Andy turned the lock. "Um, what are you doing?"
"I wouldn't want anyone to interrupt..."
"Interrupt." Mary interjected. "Interrupt what?"
"Us." even the shortest words dripped with charm. "You have forgiven me, haven't you?"
"Well, I don't know about forgiven, Andy." she leaned in closer, her perfume taking his breath. "I'm certainly trying to work past it."
His back was resting firmly against the door. "How about a little encouragement?"
"Andy..."
"Mary." he countered. "Come on." he grabbed her wrist and pulled her to him. "No airs, huh? It's just you and me."
She smirked. "I don't know if you've suffered long enough."
His lips grazed over her neck. "You're punishing yourself too, you know."
"I suppose you have a point."
