Chapter 1: Choosing the Animagus

"A cat?"

"No."

"A dog?"

"Nope."

"Well, what do you want then Rose?"

"I don't know Scorp. What do you think I should be?"

"A snail?"

"Very funny, if you're not going to be help I'll ask Albus."

"No, no I'll help. What about a fox?"

"I know, a saber tooth tiger!"

"Really Rose a saber tooth tiger?"

"What? What's wrong with being a saber Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy?"

"Nothing, nothing, nothing's wrong with sabers just talk to McGonagall before you take that particular animal."

"Fine okay, I'll talk to McGonagall before I start."

"Promise Rosie?"

"I promise. Happy Scorpius?"

"It'll do."

Rose sighed, "Are you going to be like this all through this year?"

Scorpius chuckled, "Maybe."

Rose shook her head at Scorpius, "So should I see McGonagall now?"

"Can I come?"

"If you will shut up then yes you can come along to see McGonagall with me." Sick of Scorpius and his nagging Rose left her dorm and walked down into the common room and plonked herself down onto the arm chair in front of the fire. Closing her eyes she tried to sleep. Rose sensed someone standing in front of her and forced her eyes open a crack. When she saw who it was she closed them again.

"Hey Rosie-Poise."

"Go away James."

"Why?"

"Cause I don't want to talk to anyone."

"Why?"

"Hi Rosie." Can no one leave her alone? "When are you going to McGonagall?"

"Since when have you called her Rosie Scorpius?" Questioned a slightly put out James to Scorpius.

"Since when she didn't hex me for calling her it. Anyway Rose, McGonagall?"

"Fine. Alright, I'm coming. Just let me get that book." Rose replied exasperatedly.

"Thanks Rosie. Oh can you bring popcorn."

"Why do you need popcorn Scorp?"

"Because," He started with an inpatient tone, "your meeting is going to be very entertaining."

"Why's Rosie going to McGonagall?" James asked confused.

"None of your business James Sirius Potter. Now go away and stop bothering me. Scorpius?" Rose held out her hand, "Time to go meet McGonagall. Cya James." Rose left the common room dragging Scorpius behind her and leaving James in a very confused state.
