Hi there! This is my first story and I'm not sure how to do this. If anyone would like to help me out that would be great. I need tips or something, unless I'm going just fine. Well, I guess on with the story….
Disclaimer: I wish I had all these guys for myself, but sadly I do not. They don't belong to me, they come from the fabulous mind of Tolkien.
Chapter 1: The Wall Comes Down
"Shoot him down, Legolas!" Aragorn shouted as he watched the Uruk-hai get closer and closer. "Shoot him down!" The bomb was getting closer and closer to the wall as he ran forward.
Legolas heard his friend's shout, strung an arrow, and let one loose toward the Uruk-hai. The arrow met its mark within his shoulder, but was still not enough to slow him down. Legolas tried again, but the Uruk-hai dove forward before Legolas could stop him.
Legolas watched in horror as the wall exploded before his eyes killing and injuring many of his friends. The one he feared for the most was Aragorn, though. His eyes strayed over the bodies of many until they came upon his best friend. Legolas watched for a second to see if his friend would move, and after find no movement he raced towards him. Before he could reach the ranger, though, Uruk-hai swarmed in through the areas that had been knocked down.
Legolas frowned as he realized it may be a while before he could help his friend, but was soon comforted when he saw the dwarf headed in the ranger's direction. Knowing that his friend was soon to be in the safety of another, Legolas continued fighting with less worry and more concentration.
"Merry! Merry, wake up, please!" Pippin hurriedly whispered to his friend. His eyes roamed over the terrible gash on his head. To Pippin the gash looked awful, and was sure it hurt as bad as it looked. He knew that he and Merry needed to get away as quickly as they could, but with Merry unconscious and orcs surrounding them, Pippin couldn't see a way out of their terrible predicament.
"Oh, how I wish Aragorn or Gandalf was here," Pippin sighed sadly as he scooted closer to his friend, "They would surely know what to do."
Merry groaned lightly and shifted his head over more toward Pippin's voice. At this Pippin gave a bright smile and tried to encourage his friend to awaken again.
"Merry! Are you going to wake-up and join me now? I really wish you would. It is getting quite boring talking to the air." He watched his friends eyes open the slightest bit and stare back at him. It was as far as his eyes would open, and as much as Merry would do, but just to see the change in him overjoyed Pippin.
"You filthy hobbits! Shut your mouth or I will cut out your tongue!" an orc shouted as he kicked Pippin in the ribs. "I hate stupid halflings!" the orc grumbled as he turned back toward the fire with his companions.
"Maybe it's best if you continue your nap, Merry. Go back to sleep," Pippin frowned as he rubbed his sore ribs.
So what did you think? Good so far, or do I need to work on it? I was hoping it would have turned out longer than this. I'll try to make the next one longer.
