Memories
As I look at my husband, I often wonder what would of happened to me that day if Harry had not been there, rescuing me as usual. It seems that's all he does. Every time someone has tried to hurt me, he's always there being my champion, my knight in shining armor… my prince. Literally. In his sixth year he had discovered he was the heir of Gryffindor, which meant he was royalty. The ruler of the Magical world to be exact. Anyone else would have been ecstatic. Not him, he was too busy trying to save the world. He did that to. He destroyed Tom in his seventh. The world praised him, but it did not matter.
He saved me that day, if not for him I would be dead. Tom knew me. He knew Harry would die to save me. So, Snape (the bloody git) captured me, and that began the battle. I watched in horror as my friends and loved ones died. But I could do nothing with Malfoy looking over me. This was his punishment to Harry. This was his payback.
Finally, hours had gone by. The fight was still on. Voldie-pants wanted to end it quickly and get Harry out of the way. That was his downfall. Voldemort turned around and fired Avada Kedavra at me. As I saw the green light coming at me, I saw all my memories of him flash by. Putting my hand in the butter dish, the horrible Valentine's poem, that screeching singing get well card, the Chamber, The D.A., the Dept. of Ministries, his coronation, and most of all…
Harry jumped in front of it. Exactly, what Voldemort wanted him to. But what Voldemort didn't know was that like the first time it would reverse. This time would truly mean death. Again, a life was being sacrificed for love. But this time it wasn't for someone's child, sister, or friend. It was for their soul mate.
And in that moment I knew he was gone. I could feel it. As the dust settled, I looked around. Where was my loves body? All of the sudden I felt arms go around me. Gin, I'm always here.
There was applause, hundreds of people clapping. For it was the end.
I look at my wonderful husband. His crown is upon his head. The hair that never lied down is still like it was, no matter what I do. As I look into his beautiful green eyes, he whispers, "Gin, I'm always here."
AN: My first fan fiction. I know it's pretty short and pretty bad, but I got the urge to write so it happened it about 10 minutes. Please review, flames are welcome 'cause it's cold in my office.
