"Dad, look I got an eyebrow piercing!" Taka pointed to the black ring above his left eye. "Doesn't it give me a dark and mysterious look?"
"What?! I don't remember saying it was okay for you to get your eyebrow pierced." Ahadi growled.
"Mom said I could. She said as long as I got a-"
"URU!" Ahadi roared to for his mate. Uru padded into the den, her eyes sparkling like diamonds.
"What are you yelling for? I was admiring my beautiful self." Uru held a mirror up to her face and gave a cat call.
"Why did you allow Taka to get an eye piercing?! A prince does not pierce his eyebrows." Ahadi forcefully pulled the mirror away.
"Why can't I have a piercing but you let Mufasa use that awesome smelling hair gel? Sarabi is gonna be all over him now!" Taka protested. "Let me keep it! All the hyenas have piercings!"
"You are not a hyena!" Ahadi said sternly.
"Aww, let him keep it Ahadi. You really need to give him some freedom." Uru cooed and brushed some of the tangles out of her tail tuft. "You can't make it too obvious you like Mufasa waaaayyyyy better than him. It wouldn't be fair."
"No means no! Get it taken out!"
"But Dad!" Taka pleaded.
"If you don't get it taken out, I'll take it out by force!" Ahadi reached for the ring.
"Dad, wait!" Taka was too late. Ahadi grabbed the ring and yanked. It fell to the ground with a clink. Taka held a paw over his eyebrow which was bleeding and gave a yelp. "You didn't have to do that! It was a clip on!" He picked up the ring, which was plastic.
"What?"
"My poor baby!" Uru cupped her son's face.
"No, don't look at me! I'm so ugly!" Taka ran out of Pride Rock's den.
"What have I done!" Ahadi slumped to the ground ashamed.
"Uh... Dad? Taka kinda just tripped all the way done Pride Rock and I think he might have sprained his ankle... What did I miss?" Mufasa strolled into the den.
"Nothing son. Have I told you how much I love you lately?" Ahadi patted Mufasa's head.
