Jazmyn
I stretched on my bed. I had just finished reading a book. I stood, my joints protesting, and walked to my closed bedroom door. I was hungry and needed a snack. As I started opening my door, I started to yawn. Blind and with my eyes tearing up, I walked out of my room and shut the door behind me.
When I opened my eyes again, I wasn't in the hallway outside of my room. I wasn't even in my house! There was a low table covered by a think thick blanket. If I remember it's called a kotatsu. The Japanese use it…wait. If I'm in Japan, than I'm screwed since I can't exactly speak their language. And the fact that they're using a kotatsu must mean its winter, but its summer at my home! I'm wearing shorts and a black tank top.
I sat at the kotatsu, covering my legs with the blanket. A barrage of different scenarios, good and bad, drifted across my mind. I lied down on my back. I'm worrying myself for no reason, but I can't help myself. I played the scenarios in my head trying to decide what I'd do for each one. I ended up falling asleep.
When I woke up, a young man with black hair and vacant brown eyes was staring at me. I blinked once in surprise. He did look familiar…but I couldn't place from where.
"Um…What are you doing in my house?" He asked.
Don't people usually ask who you are first? "I don't know" I replied.
"How do you not know?"
"Well, it's like I was transported. I was walking out of my room one minute and here the next." I sat up as he knelt down. He stared at me for a while. "What?" I finally asked.
He shrugged off his jacket, and held it to me. "Could you please cover yourself?" he asked turning a bit red. I nodded and took his jacket. I slipped it on and started buttoning it up, literally, I started from the bottom. "I'm Japan." The man said. I froze half way done with the buttons. Japan! That's why he looked familiar, but he's fictional isn't he? Yet he's right in front of me.
"I'm Jazmyn" I replied slightly stunned. Japan stood and I finished buttoning his jacket.
"…Would you like some tea, Jazmyn?" He asked.
I smiled. "Tea sounds lovely." To think I was worrying over nothing.
