It was late and the sun was nowhere to be seen in the sky. He couldn't make it out through the thicket of the trees, but the sun was setting. Sam walked along the road looking for the nearest motel when Dean pulled alongside him, driving to match his pace.
"Sammy, come on—" Dean moaned before being cut off by Sam.
"No Dean, I can't even talk to you right now, I still can't believe you would betray me like that!" His rage reigniting, Sam began to pick up speed.
"We've been through this before, Sammy," Dean shouted through the passenger-side window. "You're gonna forgive me and you're gonna ride with me as I try to fine another motel." As confident as his statement was it was still saturated with remorse.
"You act like this is another minor accident, like forgetting to pick up what I ask you to get me or forgetting a holiday. This is a big deal!"
"I know that, and I said I was sorry—I am sorry, but walking alone isn't going to help any. Please get in the car with me, Sammy," Dean caressed with this voice.
"No," Sam defied.
"Sam—"
"No."
Irritated, Dean sped up the car a few feet ahead of Sam and stopped. "Sammy, get your sweet ass in this seat next to me right now, dammit!"
After hesitating for a moment, his bags becoming noticeably uncomfortable with their weight on his shoulders, Sam silently put his bags in the back seat and sat next to Dean, his head slightly hung.
"Now that wasn't hard, was it?" Dean said with an edge of self-satisfaction in his tone.
"I'm still pissed off at you."
"Take it out on me tonight, bitch," he said, turning to shoot him a wink.
Sam turned to see the gesture and blushed. "Jerk," he said with a tsk has he turned to stare out the side window. It was all the two boys said as they sped down the road searching for a motel.
