Prologue Part 1
Arthur was leading his knights home after one of their campaigns for Rome. It was a dismal day and it had been raining for the past week, thankfully, it had stopped only thins morning.
Their horses were walking through mud and it sloshed about as they stepped in the rain puddles.
"Only five years until we get our freedom", said Lancelot. He had jet black hair and rode a magnificent chestnut horse, "What are you going to do once you get your freedom Boors?"
Before he could answer, there was a noise in the trees. All the men drew their swords, Tristan his bow, and waited silently for the thing to come out and face them.
None of them were prepared for what they saw that moment five years ago ,for it was a young girl, no older than fourteen in torn light blue dress and her hair all wild. Arthur was the first to put his sword away and get off his horse and caught the scared girl just as she fell. "Get some water!" he yelled.
An hour later the knights had been trying to wake the young girl since they had set up camp. Arthur was keeping close eye on the girl. Tristan had paced some herbs on the girls head.
Arthur heard a small moan coming from the girl." Where am I?" she asked, her voice raspy.
" You are in a forest." Answered Arthur, "Here, drink this." Arthur handed the girl a cup of sweet smelling liquid. She took a sip and made a face. Arthur was surprised that she still kept drinking it. "So, what is your name?"
The girl stared at him before answering," Elaine."
"Elaine." Arthur repeated. "And where are you from Elaine?"
"Shallot" she said.
"I'm going to go over there for a moment." Arthur said pointing to the knights who obviously waiting for him to return. He got up and walked over to them.
"We will set out in the morning." He told them, "And her name is Elaine. She comes from Shallot."
"Shallot? Isn't the town the Woads attacked?" Asked Tristan. Arthur just stared ahead.
"Remember to not wake her up in the morning, she'll be tired." Arthur said.
