"Heyyyy everyone! Pete's throwin a party!" Remy shouted as he ran down the halls, Jubilee trailing along behind him making sure to shove a flyer in anyone's face who walked by. Those two were crazy as could be, and loud, the fact I could hear them from inside Bobby and my room was enough of an indicator.
"And how are /you/ today, Mon Cher?" there was an audible slap and the Cajun learned a valuable lesson, don't flirt with Suzanne. Clearly she was now on the list of girls to /not/ hit on. I walked out of my room and found him standing there like a hurt puppy rubbing the visible red mark on his cheek, damn that looked like it hurt.
"You ok man?" I asked him, it was his fault, but he never learned. "S'all the same 'round 'ere, gals will find any reason just to hit you." He shook his head and heaved a sigh, I laughed and pat him on the shoulder saying, "It's a sign LeBeau, you're such a horndog."
The Cajun had only been here for a limited time of only a few months and already he had motivated Jean, Katherine, Angel, and Raven to become the founding members of the "Let's Kill the Cajun" club, I had to hand it to them though, they were dedicated. But wait, there's more! Every day, he insisted on filling his quota of being a major creeper and flirting with a total of at least five girls, on another note, that club I mentioned earlier, yeah they get five new recruits daily.
"I swear, I been thinkin 'bout just switchin sides." His gaze swept over me as if he were inspecting what I had to offer, "Oh hell no Gambit, don't even think about it! I'll torch you on the spot." He let out a disgruntled sigh and then he turned to look at something that had caught his eye, following his gaze I realized it wasn't a something but a /someone/, the girl he was looking at non-too discreetly was none other than Rogue.
"She got a Bo?" I shook my head; oh /this/ would be a riot if they hit it off. Mainly because Rogue was still pissed that Bobby had chosen me over her. It was sad really, maybe she'd like Remy, but…the chances were slim to none.
"Why don't you talk to her?" I asked, and for the first time I saw the Cajun pale and start stammering, "You know…I don't think…actually I have something to do…I have to pick up my Bo staff from Hank…she wouldn't be interested anyway…ok bye!" and he started walking in the opposite direction, damn my caring side!
"Hey Remy, come back." Gambit stopped and looked at me waiting for me to catch up, "Really? You've hit on everyone here with no problem, but you won't flirt with Rogue? What is /wrong/ with you? We could go have you checked by Dr. Grey, have her take a looksee…and maybe have you fixed." At that last remark Remy backed away closer against the wall, "C'mon John quite messin' with me, I jus don' feel like it. I think Marie would hate me forever if I flirt' with her." Without waiting for a response from me, Remy walked away, disappearing beyond a corridor.
As I saw the look in Remy's eye I realized that for the first time, Gambit actually looked serious about this, all joking mannerisms were gone from his facial features, it was then that I decided to help the ace of spades out a bit. Of course though, I had to ask Bobby for a little more help.
