Chapter 1 : Falling from Ordinary Life

*CRASH*

A heavy blow that would kill me for sure if it connected, hit the place I was before.

Heracles not bothered in the slightest when he missed. Instead, he immediately followed up with another swing of his axe-sword, and I also immediately jumped to avoid that blow, and continue to ran from him.

I blamed my bad luck for getting Heroic Spirit Hans against Heracles. Yep A FUCKING HANS DAMNIT.

Feeling dread coming, I jumped forward at the same time as a blow coming, again and again, I was so close to death yet managed to cling so close to my life. Unfortunately, now I was standing still with Heracles in front of me. Why everything comes to this? I only wanted to live normally, successfully graduate from high school and made a happy family!

Many people around my age said the school was boring. Why we should sit straight from morning until evening to listen to someone talking about things, that unknown whether needed or not for the future? Also, we needed to memorize those things or else there will be punishment called Supplementary lesson. That kind of people was the one I hate the most. Their kind usually won't succeed in life. Maybe there was some exception but only in a little number.

But I won't even show a bit of my feeling, as long as they still obeyed the rules to be part of the system, I won't say anything, no matter how useless their comment nor their complaint.

As you could see, I was a pragmatic person, that's why I was happy with my school life. Because if I could graduate safely from this school, my path to college life is guaranteed, and after college, I will work in some company and became part of the system called Society. From there I only needed to follow the guidelines and fulfill other people expect of me, then I will obtain my happy life. After everything in place, I only needed to wait for my partner come by itself.

*RING*

"Okay, today class end here, remember we will hold a quiz in our next meeting to review this section, good evening." Strict and straight to the point as always. After saying that, Kuzuki-sensei immediately left the room and students began to pack their things, including me.

"Kotaro~ let's go to karaoke together~" Said someone in front of my desk. His name is… Fukami if I'm not wrong… He often invited me for a class outing before.

"Count me in" answer me, Fukami accepted my short answer as he probably already get used to it, and began to invite other students.

Get together with other students was one of the unwritten rules for being a student. With after-school activity like karaoke, bowling, or even mixer, you would have a conversation material after you work later. Work environment will be diverse between people who sociable and people whom in part of going home club, especially when we were talking about superior.

That was why, at least if I had a mask called the sociable student, my chance to get promoted will be higher by co-worker and superior's recommendation. Real life was harsh man.

Oh yeah before I forget, let me introduce my self. My name is Tanaka Kotaro, and I was a realistic High school student.

The sky had turned dark when I in my way to home after karaoke, and my watch already showed 07:32 PM, an excellent time to looked like an active student but not past the limit and branded as delinquent.

Then I suddenly remembered about tv show which popular in the teenager, and I forgot to set the recorder in the morning, so with haste, I decided to use shortcut by going through the alley instead. Really this was not so me to forget something like that.

And how I will regret my decision that night.

I was running when I suddenly heard a scream from right alley in front of me. My PE score was not bad but, I didn't have any experience to fight with armed people at all, and judging by its sound, it more like your usual thief or pickpocket. My brain then ordered me to turn and go back from I came to, but my soul ask me to consider it, as I needed to become part of society, some responsibility as part of society was to help innocent people in need.

Then my heart and my soul compromised to call for police, while I provide about the situation. Silently, I walk to the junction while my hand calling the 110. But when I took a peek to the alley, I almost let my cellphone because of how shocked I was.

There I could see a girl wearing my school uniform, held by some unhumanly beautiful woman in a suggestive position. That beautiful woman was too much beauty that made me feel she wasn't human at all.

Then my shock increased after I saw more clearly, the woman didn't do anything sexual, but instead she was sucking blood from the girl from my school, like hows vampire did, via her neck.

At the same time, I blame my sloppiness for the second time, and also my bad luck.

*BEEP!* "Your number is calling, has been invalid, please try again"

My cellphone suddenly let out a loud sound, that loud enough to divert the woman's focus from its meal to me. "Damnit!" Without waiting for anything else, I immediately take off from that place and ran as fast as I could. Then I could feel the woman also following me.

I ran to the way I came from, but even though I was not familiar with this place, the alley felt different from before, like someone purposely messed up with my direction. In the end, my fear came true as I arrived at the place the monster and the girl before, as I could see clearly the girl body lied down on the floor.

Then I head a *thump* sound behind me and slowly turned my body until I came to face to face with this monster. She showed a neutral face, even her eyes closed by the bandana, I could feel her stare against my body as if predator preying its meal. I could only stand still as my heart beating so much.

I thought the monster already decided she saw enough, she then prepared her weapon. I let an awkward laugh "Ahaha… is this how I die? What a luck I have". My mind went overdrive, from where I went wrong? Did from the time I forgot to turn on the recorder? Or from my decision to take a shortcut through the alley? Or maybe… even maybe… from the very start as my decision to become part of society to grasp my dream was already wrong?

Without knowing what going inside my head, the monster then threw her weapon which appeared out of nowhere to me. A stake linked to chain flew in the air exactly targeted my head. At this point, I already lost my hope.

I could see the stake became slower and slower. Until its speed almost as still as if someone pressed the pause button. Is this what people said as last moment? Where you felt everything became so slow and started to get the flashback of your life? In the same moment, my brain saw this as a chance to escape. But to my grimace, I couldn't move my body at all. No, actually my body moved, but also in the same rate as that stake speed. 'IS THIS WORLD NOT SATISFIED WITH MY DEATH SO MADE ME FEEL THE FEAR AS DEATH CAME SLOWLY TO ME?'

I didn't know if my thought was heard or something, as two roulette suddenly appeared in my line of sight. The left roulette shaped round with an arrowhead fixed on the top part of it, then the right one shaped cylinder, almost like a pachinko machine. No, I, myself as a proper student never play in that gambling place at all, but at least I knew how the machine was.

Then out of nowhere, the left roulette started to turn by itself, until some moment later it stopped and the arrowhead pointed to the part with Lancer written on it.

After that, the right one also started to rolling, until it stopped and showing sentence that I feel I had read that name from myth book somewhere.

Medusa (Lily)

Suddenly, my body felt burning, but I can do anything except screaming inside my mind. Then various kind of information started to download itself into my head because the pain I couldn't focus but I managed to read some part of the information like heroic spirit, noble phantasm, alignment, irregular, holy grail war, and corruption.

Then the light engulfed my body. After the light calm down, I realized the time flow back to normal and without thinking anything, my body already parried the stake with a scythe I don't know I had before in my hand.

For the first time the monster showed some kind of emotion, maybe she was taken back I could parry her attack? But I immediately felt something wrong, did this monster always this big? Also why my skin looked brighter and smoother than before? And finally why I felt the sense of loss from my groin?

FUUUUUUUUUUCK

When I was still angry, a sentence appeared and floating in front of me.

"Installation complete. Heroic spirit Medusa(Lily) successfully installed"

I didn't finish reading everything yet, before my enemy launch attack to me, which I immediately dodge and counter with style and flexibility I didn't know I had. But my counter easily blocked as the threw right swipe.

Making full of my new body, I struggled my hand free and duck to let my swipe going above me, and going for a slash with the scythe against her undefended back. If I was in my original body, that swipe would 100% hit me. Well lest dodge it, I maybe couldn't even say it coming.

I feel my slash connect, but it's shallow as if she already predict that and jump back to her original position. After she arrived at her original position, she ignored the damage to her back and prepared another stance, but her stance was lower than before. I also prepared my scythe and chain linked to it.

For a moment we only waited for each other, then we jumped at the same time. She attacked using her stake, but I block using the chain and counter using my scythe. Then two of us exchange some blow with high speed until I could saw my surrounding blurred. I feel I surpassed her in speed, but her strength was greater than me so I relied on dodging and countering more than blocking and attacking head-on.

Other than that, because our weapon was similar to one another, our fight at an impasse. But as the fight goes on, I could feel her attack became more manageable and easier to block, while she saw struggle with my attack. I didn't think the reason because of stamina, maybe this body grew stronger? Little I know at the same time, one of Medusa(Lily) skill was active. The skill also boosted when two of us exchange blow. I also cope with her fighting style, as I notice me fighting style slowly adapting her fighting style. Even though I only used this body memory to fight.

At that time, if only I saw myself in a mirror, I'll realize how my body closely resembled my opponent figure, but younger.

Then as fight went on, my confidence grew as I believe I could beat her. Then without warning, I suddenly remembered the reason why I decided to take the shortcut.

As I realized that, my attack going more aggressive than before. Finally, I overpower her and manage to stab her chest with my scythe, before I threw the scythe along with her to the ground, which created a little crater where she was dropped and I could saw the scythe plan her to the ground.

"Finally…."

Then before I could rejoice in my win, I heard another scream, but this one was male as he screaming "THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE! HOW CAN THIS HAPPEN!?"

Suspicious with the content he said, I picked up my scythe and jumped to the direction I heard the voice. Then I saw a teenager, that looked so frustrated as he gripped some suspicious looking book very hard. But after realized my presence he immediately jumped back and shouting "HYAA!" while falling on his back.

Then I saw his face more clearly, I swear I had seen him before, was he also a student at Homuhara? And why he was here? But Remembered his scream before I was sure he was nowhere innocence in this case. Grimly, I approached him slowly while raised my scythe to his neck.

Then with voice as menacing as possible, I interrogated him "Answer my question, what are you doing here? And what your relation to the blood-sucking monster below?"

Watched his pale face, I could connect the dots, this boy clearly broke the rules and common sense by working together with that monster, so no mercy for him.

As I prepare to separate his head from his body, my instinct called there was an attack, so I jumped back as a horde of disgusting insects came to my previous position.

It as if the horde blocking the boy from me, but before my mind could think anything else, most of the insect then swarm together and made a human silhouette and finally turning became a disgusting old man with traditional clothes and a cane.

The old man was inspecting me, and his stare felt so disgusting that made me almost cut him down if I didn't hold myself. Before my patience ran out, he then opened his mouth "Unknown servant-dono, I hope you could give my unskilled grandson mercy, because as servant-dono could see, thou already defeat his servant, so I hope thou could release him"

Even his words sound so polite, I swear I could saw sneer and provocating from his body style, almost like he believed he could win against me, and I didn't want to try that as I already spent enough fighting the female monster before.

Decided to not risk it, I accepted his condition to give mercy to the boy. Other than that, if I decided to ignore his request and attack them, they still had another ace in hole. The girl from my school could become a hostage, even I was not too concerned with her life, her death could throw dirt to my school name, which could disturb my career life in the future.

Then for the second time, I compromised, and let down my weapon. "Okay, I accept it so get out of my sight immediately."

The disgusting old man gave me a nod and started to scolding/mocking his own grandson. If the boy disagreed with his grandfather view, he didn't show it. Then the boy ran away to the stair, left me alone with this disgusting.

And no wind, no rain, the old man started to laughing to his heart content.

I, myself taken back by his behavior, but before I could question him, he already beat me into it.

"I'm surprised there was the 8th servant in this war. Then again this war is forwarded by 50 years. I shall wait for another interesting thing to happen in this war, kukukuku."

Even the way he laughed was disgusting, then I made a note to check the information aboutHoly Grail war that I got before, but not now with this disgusting monster in front of me.

I annoyed by his laughter then asked with irritated tone "So what's so funny about all of this old man?"

But instead of answering, he ceased his laughter, and made an eerie smile, before transform into a swarm of insects and left me alone in this abandoned room.

But as the horde disperse, I swear I could hear a whisper "You will know when the times come, Unknown Servant-dono".

Mystery wasn't my favorite genre, so I cursed that disgusting old man as I walk down from the stair to check the unconscious girl condition.

But as before I reach the stair, my body felt burning similar to the times before I transform to my current body, and also like before, the light began to engulf me. After the light was gone, my point of view grew taller again. Seemed like I transform back to my original body, and like before, a sentence appeared and float in front of my line of sight.

"Uninstall Complete. Heroic spirit Medusa(Lily) Successfully uninstalled"

Wait a minute, True Medusa? So the blood-sucking monster I was fighting before was the older version of something installed to my body? Ahaha.

So as I began to proceed with information forced installed to my head before, I walk down the stair and checked the girl condition which grew more forgotten as time gone.

But when I checked her temperature and her wound, I heard someone footstep coming.

Then the footsteps owner showed themselves in the junction of the alley. There were two people, one of them was male with red mop hair which famous in my school as School Janitor, and the other person I couldn't make her figure because she wore a full-body yellow colored raincoat.

Then the school janitor, Shirou if I'm not wrong, stare to my direction and made a scary face. I was a little lost why he made that face until I realized how suspicious looking my current position was. I kneel before lied down a body of an unconscious girl, and currently inspected the place her blood sucked, in another word her neck, so I knew Shirou and her companion would saw this as something else.

And I got feeling this will be a long and repeated theme.

A/N : And that's it. Not to much detail but also not too short for a chapter. This FF will follow Heaven's Feel route, which means I need to open my Fate Realta[Nua] save file and re-play Heaven's Feel route as the VN has more detail than the anime movie version.

Anyway, about what servant will be used, I really use excel + summon simulator for randomizing… except for Hans vs Heracles because why not?
