A MAN CAN DREAM

WOW: wind. A quiet moment with Dean, Sam and Eileen

Dean really liked Eileen. He had immense fondness and respect for her, and since she had become a regular feature in the Winchesters' lives, he had especially enjoyed seeing her and Sam bond.

Right now, he couldn't actually believe she had talked both he and Sam into having a picnic. Well, he couldn't believe she had talked HIM into it. She could probably talk Sam into doing anything, the pathetic lovelorn great dork.

But picnic it was; and here they were, three good friends sitting on a windswept hillside, on this beautiful spring day, around a basket of hastily gathered snacks. Dean took a long draft of beer and watched in silent amusement as Eileen and Sam talked and signed, laughing together; their eyes never straying from each others' faces.

Dean reflected that it was refreshing to see Sam, the health food freak, sitting here drinking beer and making Eileen snort with laughter by stuffing a whole chocolate cupcake into his mouth and teasing her with a hamster-cheeked grin.

Dean dared to hope that Eileen could be the happy ending that he wanted so much for Sam; he'd give anything to see that.

But for now, this would do nicely.
