Book 1: Outsider
Chapter 1: A New World
It was a sunny day in the Sol Dimension, and off the coast of Southern Island was the Ocean Tornado. Standing along the railing of the ocean vessel was Princess Blaze the Cat, watching the waves ripple enjoying her time away from her royal duties.
"I never would have thought I'd enjoy being away like this. There are no enemies to fight, and it's nice an quiet out here." She said this as she takes in a deep breath of the ocean air. However, the silence is then broken by a familiar water bike driving by and splashing her leaving her ponytail slumped over her eyes. "Well, it was fun while it lasted."
Marine, the rascally raccoon and captain of the S.S. Marine, boarded the ship and approached the princess. "Blaze! You won't believe what ah found deep in the depths of dis 'ere drink 'o water."
"It wouldn't happen to be a hair dryer, would it?" She spoke sarcastically as she wringes the sea water from her ponytail.
"Nah. Some bloke was out there floating on some big ol' metal pieces. I brought her back wit me so we could wake her up."
Marine brings her down to her water bike showing her the unconscious girl. Blaze observes the girl laying on the back end of the S.S. Marine recognizing her as Tangle, a friend of hers from the Chaos Dimension.
"Quick! Get her on the ship." She picks Tangle up by the shoulders as Marine took hold of her legs. The two girls carry the lemur onto the Ocean Tornado and bring her below deck laying her on a bench.
"Do you know this bloke, Blaze?" Marine looked at the princess a bit confused.
"She's a friend of mine from Sonic's world. Her name's Tangle."
"Tangle? Ah'll bet she gets that name from this 'ere tail of hers." She lifts her tail only to fall over getting tangled up in it.
"Marine, stop fooling around. I think she's coming to."
Tangle slowly begins to open her eyes looking up at Blaze for the first time in a long time. She sits up immediately with a light gasp. "Blaze! Is that really you!? It's been so long!"
"It's good to see you too, Tangle. Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine. I was just out on the ocean napping on some bad guy bot. How long have you been back in my world?"
"Your world? Tangle, you're in the Sol Dimension."
Tangle presses her hands to her cheeks with stars in her eyes. "No…way… I'm in your home world! I've always wanted to see this place!"
Marine chuckles a bit at the lemur's hyperactive behavior. "…and I'm the nuisance?"
"Tangle, this is…" Blaze is then interrupted by the ship rocking. "What was that?"
The three of them make their way to the upper deck of the ship catching sight of a giant Death Egg Robot.
Tangle looks up in surprise. "Woah! You survived too?" The robot takes aim at the three and fires its giant claw at the ship only for the girls to immediately dodge.
Blaze looks at the other girls. "Tangle, grab it's arm while I climb it. Marine, draw it's fire on your water bike."
"Who made you the captain, lass?" Marine waits for an answer only for the robot to fire a laser at her scaring her. "Eek! Alright!" She leaps into her water bike and speeds around the robot as it fires at her.
Tangle then wraps her tail around the arm keeping it in place. "Try to move now, you big egg."
Blaze jumps onto the robot's claw and runs up the arm to its head. Just as the robot looks over to take aim at the feline, she launches her flames straight into the robot's eye and out through its backside.
"Alroight! Ya got 'im!" Marine cheers only to come to a sudden stop from the flames nearly striking her. "'Ey! Watch it!"
The robot then collapses into the ocean upon deactivation. Tangle releases it's arm from her grasp as Blaze slowly descends back onto the deck.
"Wow. I haven't even been here an hour and already I'm loving where this is going, Blaze."
"Tangle,…I have the feeling that this is only just the beginning."
Once Marine boarded the Ocean Tornado, the three of them made their way back to shore. Despite having won the fight, Blaze was right. This was only the beginning of what's to come next.
