"Wha-?" Rose muttered, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. She yawned, and sat up. After listening for a bit, she heard what sounded like some kind of song. She laid back down, trying to go back to sleep. The music just sounded like it was getting louder. With a huff, she got out of her bed and walked out into the hall. She listened for a second, then headed towards the source of the sound. As she was about to round the corner to the control room, she finally recognized the song...and the voice singing along with it.
When she finally made it to the hull of the TARDIS, she was met with a rather odd, yet hilarious scene. The Doctor was dancing around the TARDIS to none other than a Britney Spears song. 'Toxic' to be more exact.
"...A taste of your lips, I'm on a ride! You're toxic, I'm slippin' under!" He sang, (very off-key) He then did a rather weird cabbage patch dance. You know, the one that makes whoever does it look like a huge idiot. Rose just stared wide-eyed for a moment, then started to giggle. She tried to smother the laugh, but to no avail. She finally let loose a huge snort of laughter. The Doctor spun around, and upon seeing Rose standing there, started to turn all shades of red. "I was- I was just-" he sputtered, trying to form a sentence. He quickly turned off the music. Needless to say, he was beyond embarrassed.
"I didn't know you liked Britney Spears." Rose finally choked out, still giggling. "Er- well, yeah. I mean, uh-" he broke off. "Why aren't you in bed?"
"The music was too loud."
"Oh. Sorry." He shifted uncomfortably from foot to foot.
"Nah, that's okay. That was worth getting out of bed for."
The Doctor looked flustered again. After a pause, Rose spoke.
"Well, c'mon then." Rose said, grabbing the Doctor's hand.
"Huh?"
"Let's dance!"
"Well, I don't really think-" he started, but Rose interrupted.
"Just turn on the music."
So he did. And they danced the night away. But, the Doctor knew that Rose was never going to let him live that down.
