"You must let the eagle save the clan." The cats of the clans had moved into the lake a few moons ago. However, StarClan gives a warning. Soon, the lake becomes a battleground for supremacy, and the Clans must drive their intruders, with the help of the eagle. But what is the eagle? Rated T for graphic descriptions and to be on the safe side.

Two Great Evils

Chapter 1

ThunderClan. Firestar, the leader of it. They had arrived at the lake only a few moons ago, after a sign from StarClan. StarClan was the givers of signs. Omens. Prophecies. Whenever an prophecy was given out, something bad was about to happen.

This prophecy was no different.

The day started off normal for ThunderClan. The dawn patrol went off, prey was caught. Normal things for Firestar and his clan. For the first few hours of the day, all was well.

StarClan has a way of changing your day, however. Indeed, Firestar's day changed, when a patrol reported back. Something was carved into a rock, the patrol reported. Interested, Firestar walked to the patrol to the carving. The carving was unlike anything Firestar had seen before. "This must be a sign from StarClan". The carving showed an eagle carrying a bomb, with a gear around it. Next to it, was a Y, surrounded by octagons. Of course, the clans didn't know what were bombs, gears, Y's, octagons, or other foreign Twoleg things were.

"What is this? An eagle"? While Firestar was wondering, Leafpool, ThunderClan's medicine cat, was dreaming. In her dream, there was her camp, peaceful. As soon as she took in the fresh air, however, her surroundings began to change. What was originally a serene peaceful lake with ThunderClan cats roaming turned into a nightmare. The lake turned red with blood. The bodies of her clanmates and other clan cats floated in the lake. The green grass turned into a dull grey, devoid of life. The sky turned black and ominous.

When Leafpool closed her eyes and reopened it, the trees were gone. But then she was surprised. Now, the bodies of Twoleg kits and Twoleg adults were laid down. The Twoleg's were bleeding heavily, and laid shockingly, as if the end came to them unexpectedly. By then, Leafpool was trembling. She had never seen such a horrible sight. Finally, a voice called out. Leafpool recognized it as a voice from StarClan, a warning.

"Leafpool. Two evils will come to your territory, one less than the other. They are coming. You must let the eagle save the Clans."

"The-the eagle?"

But no answer awaited her. She quickly awoke from her slumber, and decided to tell Firestar immediately. He had to know. There was no other option. However, she found out that Firestar was gone. She had to wait.

The only thing Leafpool could do now was wait, hope for the best, and tend to her herbs.

So she tended to her herbs, and waited for Firestar to arrive.
