Hi it is me again this is my first posted fic where Hiko and Kenshin show a fatherly son bond even though it is they would never show each other their feeling (THIS IS NOT A SLASH (not that I have anything against slash))

Kenshin walked up towards the small cabin he knew so well. The man that had taught him everything he knew, including how to be the greatest warrior in the entire country of Japan but the greatest lesson he ever had given Kenshin was teaching him that even the mass murder Hitokiti Battousai's life had value. He made him realize that he could protect no one dead something that Kenshin had never revealed to himself in those long ten years of wandering.
Kenshin was only a few minutes away from master Hiko's cabin his hands were shaking so badly he could hardly hold the sake he had brought for his master. (Boy did he ever love his sake) he was almost as nervous as a few days ago when he had asked Kaoru the question.
Hiko Soujiro looked up from his sake cup when he heard the light crunching noise of someone stamping on leaves "Hey baka what took you so long" he said as Kenshin came into is sight range "I sensed your ki almost two hours ago" he continued now standing and walking up to Kenshin
" Um………SAKE!" Kenshin said very loudly holding the sake jug he had brought Hiko.
He raised one of his eyebrows "what is wrong with you baka you seem even more anxious than the time you came here because of Shishio, well go on we will talk inside"
Kenshin walked in feeling even more terrified than when he had set out to go there "Ok spit it out baka why did you come here ?"
"I um………………….. I um…um…" Kenshin desperately tried to get it out but he couldn't. He was not even so flustered for words when he was with Kaoru they seemed to come so easily then why was so difficult maybe because he was more sure she would say yes. " I " but before Kenshin could start his 'ums' Hiko through him a glass full of sake "Drink" he commanded "it will make it easier" Kenshin complied and drained the cup in one gulp "now try" Hiko said but Kenshin just 'I umed' again "must you constantly remind me why I call you baka" Hiko said pouring him another glass of sake.
"Right" said Hiko after Kenshin's third glass of sake "I am going to check on the pot I was making come out when you are feeling more expressive " Hiko said sarcastically Hiko got up to leave but heard something that sounded like "masterIhaveaskedKaorutomarrymeandIwantyoutobethere" Hiko turned when he heard the lightning speed outburst "what did you say?" not having understood a word he had said
Kenshin sighed, closed his eyes, opened them again and said "Master I have asked for Kaoru's hand in marriage and she has accepted, it would mean a lot to this one if you could be there" he said looking straight into his master's eyes Hiko shrugged "ok" and walked out of the room leaving Kenshin in a small oroing heap.
Once Hiko was outside he thought, "I would be honored to Kenshin"
