We thought it was just an old horror tale. We thought it was just a scary
bedtime story for children. We thought wrong. I tried to keep calm inside
that old house on top of the hill, but the smell of darkness and evil kept
me on my last nerve.
Davis was trying to hide his fear the best he could, but I could see it leaking out of his skin. Cody wasn't supposed to be here. He was too young, only 9. He shivered as the coolness of night blew over him. Yolie had her hands over her mouth, trying not to scream. Kari was holding on to me, about ready to cry.
Everyone was afraid, everyone, except me. I could tell were the evil is. I could sense it's every move, I could smell it's very presents, I could see it's very form.
The evil was stalking my friends. They could barely stand themselves. They knew what the evil was, so did I. The evil that stalked them so, was their own deepest fears. It was eating at their souls and wouldn't stop. The only words I could think of kept repeating in my head, (We've got to get outta here!)
Then, we herd a sound, just a weak tap. It was enough to make our blood freeze. We ran on instinct.
We ran with the evil behind us. It screamed death over all of us. It then circled us, reaching at us with its claw-liked hands. I knew we were dead. Then, the floor shattered like glass. We fell into the darkness. Deeper, deeper, deeper…
My eyes opened. I looked around where I laid. We looked at each other. It was just a dream!, but our smiles turned to horror, as we stood in front of the old house on the hill.
