chapter 1:

''Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Highrock.''A sleek red tom yowled out in the clearing. From the shadows cat shapes started to glide into the clearing. ''Today there will be two new aprentices, Cherrykit step forward.'' A small shape came from the crowd. ''From this day forward, until she has earned her warrior name this aprentice will be known as Cherrypaw. her mentor will be Sparrowleap,I hope you will teach her the ways of of a warrior.'' Sparrowleap stepped forward, her dark-grey pelt shining in the dim sunlight. Cherrykit bounced over to her and they gently touched noses. ''Shadekit, step forward.'' Foxstar spoke clearly. Shadekit stepped out of the crowd of cats, a little ashamed because all the eyes of the clan were fixed on her. '''From this day onward, until she has earned her warrior name, this aprentice will be known as Shadepaw. her mentor will be Duskfall. I hope you will teach her the ways of a warrior.'' Duskfall slid out of the crowd, pride in his eyes as he stepped closer to Shadepaw. Shadepaw stepped closer to Duskfall, suddenly unaware of her speed she bumped her nose hard to Duskfall's. ''ow! Sorry.'' She stumbled. ''No worries.'' duskfall reassured her and gently touched noses. Cherrpaw ran over to Shadepaw and the clan started calling their new names. ''Cherrypaw!Shadepaw!Cherrypaw!Shadepaw!''

''We're finnaly aprentices!'' Cherrykit whispered agitated. Shadepaw nodded and shared her sisters excitement. as the mentors of the two newly made aprentices appeared they felt silent, they didn't yet know what for a new adventures are waiting for them. Duskfall let out an amused purr ''we'll first show you two around the territory, starting with the Shadowclan bordor.'' he added mysteriously. he wasn't the only one in the clan that knew the kits -and new aprentices- wanted to see the Shadowclan bordor firstly before all. Sparrowleap nodded to Cherrypaw, letting her know they already had this planned. ''would you two want to eat something before we go? it's going to be pretty rough for the first time.'' Sparrowleap asked them. ''I guess it would be better to eat first.'' Cherrypaw stated to Shadepaw. Duskfall nodded in agreement ''We'll wait for you at the warrior's den, meet use when you're done.'' ''and don''t be too slow!'' Sparrowleap said before stalking off to the den.

Shadepaw and Cherrypaw raced to the Freshkill-pile, Shadepaw grabbed a shrew and decided to share it with Cherrypaw. even when knowing Cherrypaw was a big eater. ''So, you two kits are finnaly aprentices?'' Ratpaw teased them. Theý hadn't noticed him creeping up on them at all. ''Yes, we are. thanks for stating it.'' Cherrypaw answered back. a cat stepped from the shadows of the cliffs ''I didn't know kittypets could be aprentices!'' Sweetpaw sneered. Shadepaw flinched, most cats didn't know who their father is or was, and they would often get scowling glances from the older cats, the elders in particular. somehow she knew there might be truth in Sweetpaws words, what if they had a kittypet father? ''Don't listen to them, Shadepaw.'' Cherrykit reassured her. ''Kittypet or not, we just as much deserve to be a warrior as they are.''

sorry! I know this is short. but i'm writing this on my work, so yeah.

I am sorry if my english may look off sometimes. it's not my first language, nor my second...
