Forcing smiles,
Faking laughter,
Hiding tears,
Pretending to be ok...
Empty seat
Right next to me,
Where you were
Supposed to be.
Nothing,
But emptiness tonight...
I watch you
From across the room,
As you avoid me
And I act like
You never meant
A thing.
How did we end up
Like this?
Why did we end up
Like this?
Because I...
I don't want to
Lose you..
And as our eyes meet,
All you do
Is look away.
Why aren't you trying?
Please don't let go,
Because I'm trying..
I'm trying so hard
To hold on.
But as the night
Grows longer,
All I can feel
Is the room getting colder.
And all I want
Is for everything
To go back,
To being okay again...
Because
I miss you...
I miss you so much.
I wish you
Missed me enough
To run after me
And never let me go
The way you did
Last time.
I wish I never
Walked away.
I wish we could
Put our pride
On the shelf.
But as I walk
You won't even look
My way,
And I won't
Turn around.
So as we separate
More and more,
Our hands slowly
Lose grasp..
Forever.
Each and every day, at least one couple is breaking up, and hurting one another. Don't be one of them. If you fight with the one you love, don't let them walk away, run after them, and fight for them as hard as you can, because one slip is all it takes to losing them forever. Tell them you love them, appreciate them, care for them. Don't waste a single minute, because that's one minute off of the time you have with them. So don't be stupid. Because pride isn't worth losing your happiness.
