This is just an idea and I don't think it will be very good, I have started a few but it's the school fanfic I am going to be spending my time on. Please review. X#

Detective Jack Meadows had just split from his ex prostitute girlfriend Rachel Heath. He had feelings for someone else but he didn't think that she would be interested in him.

He need someone to help with the paperwork he thought of offloading it to Neil but then he realised it was wrong, he decided to get one of the DS's to do it.

"Debbie could you come here and help me? If you're not too busy" Jack shouted across CID.

Debbie was happy to spend time with him because unknown to him she had feelings for him and had done for a while, that's why she had tried to dissuade him when he was seeing Rachel. If only he knew how she felt. "Yes Guv, give me two minutes and I will be there." She replied almost too enthusiastically.

Jack picked up on how keen she was and decided that he was going to tell her how he felt, hopefully she felt the same.

Debbie came in and noticed Jack had set her up at the other end of his desk with a chair and some space, "I thought you would rather work here so you didn't have to go back and forward" Jack said after noticing her looking around "Also it will give us a chance to talk"

Debbie smiled, "yes I would like that"

Two hours later they had both worked really hard and were nearly finished the paperwork.

Jack thought it is now or never "Debbie when we are done would you like to go for a coffee?"

Debbie thought for a minute, she then got up and walked towards the door. Jack looked disappointed he thought she was leaving, but then surprisingly she shut the door and walked back towards him. She came around the desk and up to where he was sitting in his desk chair. She sat on his lap and looked up to him and smiled. "I thought you would never ask"

Jack laughed but then she planted a kiss on his lips, just gentle at first and then she pulled away to make sure it was what he wanted. He responded by putting his hands on her face and pulling her towards him and kissing her gently but with more passion.

Next thing they knew the door had opened and standing there was DI Neil Manson. Jack knew that he would take every opportunity to tease him.

"Sorry, did I interrupt you?" Neil said with a hint of sarcasm in his voice "I didn't know you two were a couple"

Debbie was expecting Jack to deny that anything had happen and was surprised with what he then said. "Yes we are do you have a problem?" Jack paused and then said "Please close the door on your way out" He then resumed kissing Debbie. A stunned Neil left the office. Debbie pulled away. Jack was worried he had done something wrong. "Are you Ok with me telling him?"

Debbie smiled and then replied "Of course, do you want to forget about that coffee and go back to mine?"

Jack kissed her again and this told Debbie the answer, it was the answer she wanted. After ages of liking him, he now knew.
