All I knew this morning when I woke

And all I've seen since 18 hours ago is green eyes and

He swore he'd never say it. He felt like a traitor, an idiot, a fool.
Pride. It make you do the stupidest things.
Love. It makes you do dangerous things.
The two cannot combine, for both will drive the one feeling both insane.
Calling his childhood friend and secret love "Mudblood" was to impress his Slytherin so-called friends. It had worked.
He hadn't considered her feelings during that incident, 18 hours ago. All he'd seen since then were her beautiful green eyes, the freckles splashed across her nose, and her wide perfect smile.
She was a Gryffindor; he was a Slytherin. She was popular; he wasn't.
He wanted to go up to her and say three simple words. Very simple.
"I'm sorry, Lily."
He wanted to offer to be friends again. He didn't, because he was a coward. He also stopped himself because she knew what he'd say.
"Everything has changed, Sev."
And she was right, because everything had.
