Steven groaned as he slowly lifted his head up and rubbed it.
"What happened last night?" Steven asked himself.
Steven suddenly froze in place when he saw where he was. He was at the bottom of the ocean! He tried to swim upwards but suddenly stopped.
"Wait a minute," Steven said to himself. "Why am I not drowning?"
Steven stopped swimming for a second and felt himself land back onto the ocean floor. He looked around for a second then nearly froze again. The corrupted monster from the North was standing right in front of him staring him in the eye.
Steven was about to scream, but the monster suddenly plopped down on the ocean floor. Steven stayed perfectly still and hoped the monster wouldn't attack.
Suddenly, the monster started to lift its head and move in closer towards Steven. It snarled and Steven was sure it was growling. It was hard to tell underwater. He closed his eyes and prepared for the worst.
Nothing happened.
Steven opened his eyes to see the monster panting in the way a dog would. Steven was even sure that the monster was slightly wagging its furry tail.
Before Steven could do anything, the monster took its giant tongue and licked Steven all the way up his body. If he weren't underwater, Steven was certain he would be covered in slobber.
The monster leaned forward again and rubbed its giant fluffy mane against Steven in a playful way.
"Woah! Woah! Easy there," Steven said placing his hand on the monster's mane.
Steven gasped when he saw his hand. It was... red? No, it was orange. It was orange and red!
"What's going on?!" Steven exclaimed. He quickly covered his mouth once he realized what his voice sounded like.
"This isn't my voice!" Steven panicked.
Steven lifted his hands up and felt his head. He felt a giant fluffy mane of hair. "This isn't mine!" Steven exclaimed. He looked at his arms. They were completely muscular. "Those aren't mine!" Steven felt where his gem was supposed to be. He felt nothing but a flat surface.
"Oh no," Steven said as he reached towards his face. He slowly placed his hand where his nose should be, but he felt something else.
"Oh my gosh!" Steven exclaimed. "I'm not in my body! I'm... I'm in... I'm in Jasper's body!"
"No! No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no!" Steven yelled as he paced around in great panic. "This can't be happening! I can't be inside her body! It's one thing to go into Lars' body, but Jasper's? That's too much!"
The monster watched as the supposed Jasper freaked out and paced around. She tilted her head in great confusion as to why Jasper was suddenly acting this way.
"What am I gonna do?!" Steven exclaimed. "I can't go to gems, or they'll attack me. I can't approach a human, or they'll just run away scared!"
Steven kept pacing for a few minutes trying to figure out what to do. While he did this, the monster just watched him while sitting down.
Steven looked at the monster. In a matter of speaking, the monster reminded him of Lion. It could be playful and still be quiet and mysterious.
Steven suddenly snapped from his thoughts when he realized something.
"Oh gosh!" Steven exclaimed. "If I'm in Jasper's body, then does that mean that Jasper's... Oh no! The gems could be in danger! I gotta get my body back!"
