the mysterious behaviour of miss daae
and her beau, vicomte de chagney
were the most obvious signs
to the phantom's melancholy demise

thus far we have stated the "facts"
the phantom was "evil and bad"
the diva was a lady, and "victim"
to the "horribly mangled phantom"

amongst the characters a fire is lit
the body is found, and the "phantom's" a hit.
the ballet and opera are all set aback
and wait for the evil phantom to attack

no one ever thought to realise
that the phantom can see with his eyes
and hear, and feel, and love as well
though this love is only once fulfilled

and in that moment when loves first kiss
sends our night creature into immortal bliss
the vicomte runs in and messes with things
which gives miss daae the power to sing

she longs for her phantom and never will stop
but runs off with "true love"....
a stupid old fop!
