It was quite in the emptiness, 1 just took his daughter on a little day trip somewhere. She was thirteen now maybe she was old enough to the truth about what happen to her mother; 12. But 1 was still a little worried about the whole thing. Once they reach the spot, 1 was going to tell her the reason for her nightmares.
"Dad? Can we stop and take a break?" 11 asked in a worn out voice.
"Well yes, but we're already here." 11 just some the ruins of what was left of the humans' buildings. They were almost gone or finishing falling apart. "Can I ask you something?" 1 sat down on a liquor bottle as his daughter sat next him.
"Do you remember anything when you were little?"
" No." She replied.
Why was he asking something like that? 1 just look at the buildings for a little longer till he look back at 11. "Did you know, you were born here."
"I thought you said I was born in the church?" 1 just laughed and patted her head. "No, you grow up in the church." He said "You were born here, during the war."
11 was a little confused. Still trying to understand what 1 was saying to her. She was tired still from that long walk. She wanted to listen what he wanted to say. "Well, you're just a two year then."
"I was?" She asked giving out a small yawn.
"Yes. But...this sport you and I are sitting on right now." He said letting her lean on his shoulder.
"Well, this is where your mother died." He told her. 11 went wide eye from hearing that. Was this all true? This was similar to her dreams and nightmare. But, there was no memory of this place.
"You were too young to remember, but yes. You, me and your mother lived here once."
11 just gave another yawn. "Really?"
1 could tell she was going to go out soon. He still remember her being small enough that she fit in his lap. 11 just let out another yawn and her eyes were slowly closing.
"Well...that machine you keep seeing in your dreams...was the reason your mother died." 11 woke up a little when she heard that. No wonder she keeps seeing her mother died and her father standing watching her die. It made sense now.
"Really?" 1 just sighed in the moment.
"Yes. That beast got out one day and saw us. We had to keep you safe, but I let my fear got the best of me that day. I fall when I tried to help your mother. The best saw me and went after me...that when your mother pushed me out of the way."
It still brought back those memories, 1 just felt guilt for not saving her then. He stood for protection and the one person he couldn't protect was his wife.1 look down at 11 and notice she nodded off again. 1 just let out slight laugh and hopefully that might help with her nightmares. "I'll wake you up when we're to go back home."
Been a while since I post up anything here for awhile. Any, this was a short idea for the movie 9. I've been pretty busy lately. Hopefully this short story will make it up.
11 and 12 belong to me
