Passing Notes
Heeelllooo there. So, this is basically a pointless one-shot that my friend Etta (ettafetacheese on this site) and I started together but then SHE abandoned me halfway through, and I finished by myself. It doesn't really have any specific plot, just a cute little thing.
Italics are Kurt's thoughts
"Now, I should hope that we all know the state capitols by now. But nonetheless, let's start with something simple. Brittany, what's the capitol of Ohio?"
"O."
Kurt stared straight ahead at the chalkboard, wondering if it was possible to be any more bored than he was right now.
"Do you even know who the President is?" Ms. Hagberg asked skeptically
Kurt felt himself getting a little angry at this comment. It wasn't Brittany's fault she was as dumb as one of Mr. Schuester's vests! It wasn't fair that people made fun of her because of her intelligence… or lack there of.
Come on, Britt. You got this. You know this one.
"Will.."
As the room filled with laughter, Kurt felt someone nudge his shoulder. He looked behind him to find Blaine holding out a notebook.
Kurt smirked and took the notebook.
I take it you're bored? – B
Oh god yes. – K
Kurt handed the book back. He heard Blaine chuckle behind him.
Well, we only have about twenty more minutes and then we have lunch together. – B
Oh no. Please tell me you're not going to eat any more of that filth they call food. - K
You're adorable, you know that? – B
Kurt ducked his head to try and hide the slight powder of blush creeping up on his face.
Aw, Blainers. Not as cute as you. – K
I doubt it. No one could ever compare to you. - B
As much as I would enjoy to continue this – and trust me, I WOULD win – we'd be going on for hours. So, change of subject, are you going to tell me where we're going for our date tonight? - K
Nope. - B
Just nope? - K
Yep. - B
Come on Blaine… Pleeeease? - K
Nope. It's a surprise. - B
Pretty please with a kiss on top? - K
A kiss? What happened to a cherry?
… Although, I don't object to that kiss.
… And I'm still not telling you. - B
… Fine. - K
I do have something ELSE to tell you though. - B
What is it? - K
Hm… should I say? - B
Yes! Blaine, please don't do this to me! - K
Nah, you should just guess. - B
But I don't want to guess! What is it? - K
"Mr. Hummel and Mr. Anderson! Do you have something you would like to share with the class?"
"No, Ms. Hagberg." Kurt and Blaine muttered simultaneously
"Good. Now, back to what I was saying…"
Kurt sighed.
Dammit, he thought, now I won't know what he was going to say. He'll probably forget.
Then he felt a tap on his shoulder. Kurt turned and Blaine was sitting there, just smiling at him.
What? Kurt mouthed
Blaine lifted his hand so his palm was facing Kurt. On it were three simple words.
I love you.
Kurt's smile was ear to ear. He turned back around and started counting down the minutes until the class was over.
Finally, the bell rang and he waited for Blaine. When they were finally alone in the classroom Kurt practically threw himself into Blaine's arms and kissed him firmly on the lips. When he pulled away, Blaine's grin was priceless. Kurt pressed his forehead against Blaine's and whispered in his ear,
"I love you too."
