Pairing- Harry/Oliver

Prompt- Achilles: Write a slash or femslash story. Alt; write about complicated feelings.

Red and gold colored confetti sprinkled out of the sky like a soft snow fall. The loud chanting coming from the pitch could probably be heard for miles and the final score of the match was announced. The blue-clad players landed, all of them wearing the same disappointed faces. The players in crimson were still in the sky, doing celebratory tricks and cheers. It happened, it finally happened. Gryffindor won the Quidditch cup.

Harry's feet finally touched the soft ground, the snitch still cool in his hand. His hair was even more disheveled than usual and his face was pink from wind burn. He held the snitch up for the crowd to see and it brought on even more cheers from the inevitable booing and jeers that come from the Slytherin section any time Gryffindor won.

Oliver Wood floated down and hopped off his broom the second he touched the ground. He rushed over to his team with the widest grin drawn on his face. Angelina threw her arms around him and Katie patted him on the back. Oliver caught Harry's eye and smiled even wider, if that were possible.

"You were brilliant!" Oliver exclaimed, walking over to Harry.

He took the younger boy's face in his hands and looked into his eyes for a moment. Maybe it was the excitement and the overwhelming amount of emotions Oliver was feeling, but he leaned forward and pressed his lips against Harry's. It was short, rather awkward, and encouraged whistling and cat-calls.

"I—uh. Thanks," Harry said, a tad bit confused, but still managed a smirk when Oliver pulled away.

Oliver could feel his cheeks blush and the curious eyes of his teammates watch him. He chose to ignore them and snatched the silver Quidditch cup out of Madam Hooch's hands and held it up over his head. The sun's light gleamed off the metal and Oliver could see the distorted image of his ruffled reflection.

Happiness. That's what he was feeling, Oliver decided. An overwhelming amount of happiness that influenced his thoughts and decisions caused him to grab a hold of his seeker and kiss him. It was a conclusion the whole team, and even Oliver himself, knew wasn't quite right.
