Stupid Boy
Summary: Seeing that Ariel is about to leave off for college, it finally hits Adam; he is in love with his best and closest friend since childhood. He is about to tell her his feeling s when she tells him he's a stupid boy and that she already knows of his feelings.
Lying on his bed as some auburn hair falls into his blue eyes a soft sigh pass his lips. The eighteen year old clench his jaw hearing her voice talk with one of her sisters. She is leaving for college now, his Ariel. The same fiery red head he known since pre-school and been friends all the way into high school.
"Ari," He murmurs as his heart thumps in his chest and mouth begins to dry up.
He sits up paling. The anger and moodiness that been going through him ever since Ariel announce she made it into the school she wanted to go finally made sense to him. He feels like she's leaving him behind. Of all times to finally recognize the feelings of being in love without him knowing it! No wonder why his other friends shake their heads calling him a fool. They have seen it before he did.
He leaps out of his bed than dash out of his room hoping to catch Ariel before she really goes and drives off. He has to tell her. At least for her to know before she leaves. He let out a sigh of relief seeing her standing by her car as if waiting for him to say good bye.
"You came to see me off?" Ariel asks him once he's in front of her.
He runs a hand through his hair feeling more nervous and stumbles out, "Ariel there is something I have to tell you."
She lets out a musical laugh that seems to take his breath away and leans up pressing her lips to his before pulling away said with amusement. "I know, my stupid boy. Adam. I love you too."
"How long?" He asks wrapping his arms around her just wanting her close to him.
"Since Sophomore year when you punch Mark after he insulted me," She replies snuggling close.
"I'll miss you," He chokes feeling his breath catch.
"I'll miss you more. Though I'll come down in the weekends as I can." She promises.
He hums lifting her chin up pressing his lips against hers in a soft, sweet kiss ignoring the catcalls from their siblings as their parents take some pictures please to see their kids finally got the hint.
