The beginning of her end was near. Mary, Dracula's apparent creation, was going to escape, had it not been for a marionette pinning her down.
"That's enough of our game of tag, Mary," said Dracula, and Mary began to sob.
"Father…" she spoke. "I love you, so please...don't do this…"
Dracula sighed.
"Mary…" he said. "Fear not. With you as a statue, I can make you live forever. So, rest in peace, Mary…"
Before another word was spoken, everything went black, and Mary knew she was dead. Not from a wound, but by a simple spell. She felt her world begin to fall apart into a million pieces like a glass falling to the ground, shattering. That simple feeling was what made her awaken.
"Father…" she whispered under her breath as she rose from her coffin. "I will...destroy you…and I care not what the consequences are...death...eternal suffering...I cannot allow you to continue doing this…"
But for now, Mary would rest until the world of humanity needed her, whether she was remembered or not. Whether her "brother" remembered her or not.
