Disclaimer: I own nothing of the world of Harry Potter. I'm just playing with the characters for awhile.
AN: This is a one shot. There's no pairing only a one shot inspired by the song: The Storm by Garth Brooks.

Hermione sat in the bed room she shared with her husband Ron. She looked around the shattered photographs of her children and of her wedding on the floor. He had been on another jealous rage because, she had been out with Harry.
The family had told her about Ron's cruel and destructive behavior. Hermione thought it was faze and he'd grow out of it and love her. She ignored the signs all because she loved her husband.
She walked down the hall and stepped over a broken jewelry box her mother had gotten her when she was twelve. The broken pieces down the hall. She stepped into the bathroom. Hermione looked into the mirror and saw cuts and bruises on her face. She sighed and healed her wounds with her wand. She searched for someone to blame but she could find no one.
Hermione took a deep breath and said, "I do this on my own."
She didn't want anyone to take pity on her or cause more problems with Ron. She watched her friends carry on with their lives thinking she'd be fine.
Harry walked into the house and it was in a mess. She clearly hadn't listen to their warning. He sighed she wasn't fine. He found his best friend and sister-in-law sitting on the bed. Hermione jumped when she saw him.
"I have to clean up this mess before Ron gets home." Hermione told him brushing away her tears. "I'm fine. I can do it on my own."
Harry shook his head. Ron was a storm and never knew when the dark clouds would roll in; he placed his hand on her shoulder and whispered, "Ron's gone. He was sent to Azkaban. You can move on and raise the kids. The storms gone."
Hermione turned around and threw her arms round his neck. He smiled and held her close. Harry waved his wand and the room was cleaned and photos repaired and back in their respectable places.
They had just gotten through fixing the house when her children ran through the door followed by their Aunt Ginny. She smiled at her sister. The storm was over and Hermione could move on with her life.

She sits among the broken pieces of broken glass and photographs
Reluctantly releases the last of what was her past
It struck without a warning or did she just ignore the signs
In those dark clouds forming behind her sliver lines
Chorus:
The door slammed like thunder and the tears they fell like rain
And warnings from her family whirl like a hurricane
She's drowning in emotions and she can not reach the shore
She's alive but can she survive the storm
A broken jewel box dancer lines in pieces down the hall
She's finding out the answers don't change at all
It's time that she stopped searching for who's to blame or what went wrong
The only thing for certain is he's gone time to move on
Chorus:
The door slammed like thunder and the tears they fell like rain
And the warnings from her family whirl like a hurricane
She's drowning in emotions and she can not reach shore
She's alive but can she survive the storm
Someday days just roll on by without a gray cloud in the sky
She keeps telling herself, "I will make it on my own."
And her friends they've gone back to their lives
Thinking she'll be all right
She races through the night to make it home
Chorus:
The door slammed like thunder and the tears they fell like rain
And warnings from her family whirl like a hurricane
She's drowning in emotions and she reaches the shore
She's alive but can she survive the storm
