NOTE: hey guys this is my first Original story I have ever written.

Prologue.

the year is 2050 April 28th.

deep behind enemy lines, on a mountain side, a platoon of soldiers rest after a day of long fighting.

"eyes up soldier" a sergeant calls out to me as he passes me a beer.

"we fried some bugs today...eh" a soldier says laughing as he jeers me in the side playfully.

"only because we had the advantage" our sergeant exclaims.

"we wont be that lucky next time..."

"hay Lasky" Evans called out to me. "what?" I asked.

"when we get back, we will be filling our pockets with women" he shouts excitedly

"more like men the way you bend down to grab ammo" I joke. me and the lads crowd round the fire, cursing and singing like drunk fools.

"laskey how many bugs did you...?" Evans gets interrupted by a sound.

"did you hear something Lasky" Evans whispers as he looks over the mountain edge.

He see a shape moving across the cliff and suddenly a pair of green glowing eyes glare at him,

before he could say the word a projectile flies and hits him in the eye.

he lays there still before passing out.

(Laski's POV)

"Ambush!" a solider cries out.

projectiles started flying everywhere all around trapping us like mice in a cage.

in split seconds, bodies littered the floor leaving blood oozing out of my comrades.

I stood paralyzed, as I watched my friends being slaughtered in front of me, suddenly I felt a sharp pain in my chest, I looked down to see a big rusty hive blade dug threw my ribcage.

my vision fading, my children would make it worth staying, I wish the pain would stop.

it forces me just...to let go.
