The valley was covered in a mist, rain fell lightly down

The valley was covered in a mist, rain fell lightly down. Everyone, save one boy had left to either find shelter or cover. A plethora of empty chairs were strewn around the stone. The flowers added a stark contrast to the dreariness of the landscape. Nothing moved apart from the figure. Slowly the boy moved towards the stone, reaching it he kneeled down, whispered something, placed a piece of paper at the stones base, and stole away across the vale.

Sometime later a girl moved into the valley, the rain had subsided, and she was looking for something lost. It was stupid she thought, looking around at the emptiness. Stupid that know one else came back, that they, including her, had not cared enough to stay.

Moving through the mass of chairs she made her way toward the stone. There she read its face. "Beloved Friend", she could almost laugh and spit in disgust at the same time. Further on it briefly describe family relations and time allotted on this earth. These too made her sick, why write what has happened. In this case it would have been better to record all of the things that could have been, all the wasted time.

Despite her anger she felt tears run down her face. It was comical to her so she laughed the shrill laugh of someone in turmoil. A short time passed before she, like the boy before her knelt before the stone. Genuinely sobbing, she banged her fist into the damp earth surrounding the stone. Her hand collided with the paper, curios despite the situation she picked it up and read.

Her face paled at the contents. Jumping up quickly, she ran the same direction as the boy had. Her mind was barely functioning for panic, she had to reach him, had to get there in time.
