The last thing Anakin ever got to see was his loving son, kneeling beside him. Regret filled the former sith lords mind. Regret of killing Padme. Regret of betraying his order, and his dear friend, Obi-Wan.

He was a monster. A killer. Yet what he did that led to his death gave the Republic, and in extension, his own children, a second chance to right his wrongs of the past.

Of course, that wasn't good enough to atone for his sins. He knew that. When he opened his eyes however, Anakin saw something he hadn't seen in a long time.

"Hello, Ani." Standing before him was the one true love of his life, as if she hadn't aged a day since he killed her.

Padme wore her classic smile, and her robes spoke to him in volumes.

"I forgive you Ani," She said as she approaced him. Anakin attempted to push her away, fearful his anger might urge him once more to kill her. He was afraid of losing her, and couldn't face his fear.

Padme ignored his struggle, and pulled him into a deep embrace, stroking his hair, "I will always love you, no matter what."

For the first time in Anakin Skywalker's life, he felt at peace.

"How about some love for the other people in your life?"

Anakin turned to see Ashoka, Obi-Wan, and Yoda. "Really Snips, You couldn't let me have my moment?"

They all shared a laugh.
