Draco walked into Starbucks again and went behind the counter. He was doing a part time job there during the summer, so he could start earning before he went to college next year. He just got ready when a girl walked through the door.
"What would you like?"
"I would like a large dark coffee"
"What name should I put on it?"
"Put Catwoman on it"
The girl walked in with a lot of paperwork and looked very tired. Draco could tell that she really needed her order. She sat down and started furiously working on something.
Draco was very confused by the name that she gave, but made the coffee anyway. Soon enough, he was done.
"Catwoman?"
The girl packed up, grabbed the coffee, paid, and walked out the door. Draco was very confused and thought about the lady all day. He went home at the end of his shift.
The next day, he went to work again. Just like the day before, the girl came in almost as soon as he came in. Today she looked a little more relaxed. Looking at her a little more clearly, he saw that she had curly hair, and was wearing a t-shirt and jeans. She was only carrying her phone.
"What would you like?"
"I would like a Hot Chocolate"
What name do you want on it?"
She thought for a minute before saying
"Mary Sue"
Draco could tell this wasn't her actual name, but he went with it anyway. He gave her the Hot Chocolate, and she went on her way. Draco was so confused by this girl. He wanted to know her name.
This continued on. The girl came in everyday at the same time. Draco was starting to like her more and more. he was debating asking her out, if only he knew her actual name. She kept saying different names like Black Widow, Mrs. Poppins, Aurora, Cinderella, and many more. Draco was starting to get really frustrated.
One month after the first time that the girl walked in to Starbuck, she walks in again. By now, Draco knows that her regular is Hot Chocolate, and if she looks busy, she wants black coffee. He doesn't even ask her anything except what name she wants on the cup.
"What name do you want on the cup?"
"Hmmm, how about mysterious?"
"sure, Ms. Mysterious"
After giving her the drink, she doesn't leave. This is the first time she hasn't left immediately. After his shift, Draco goes up to her and yells at her.
"You give me a different name everyday. I just want to know your real name, but here I am scrawling Mysterious onto your drink. I think you're cute, and I want to know your name."
Draco suddenly looks embarrassed. He didn't mean to say that.
She looks up and smiles.
"I think you are cute too, I used the stupid names because it made me feel good, but eventually the stupid names became a way to get you to ask me out."
Draco looks absolutely joyful, and they both start planning a date. By the end of it, both of them are standing outside the Starbucks, and have exchanged numbers.
"Alright, I'll pick you up at seven tomorrow for our movie."
"That would be great"
the girl then says bye and walks away.
As she walks away, Draco realized that he still didn't have her name. He yells after her.
"You still didn't tell me your name."
She yells back.
"It's Hermione Granger."
She continued to walk away. Eventually she turned the corner and was out of sight, but Draco was still there. He was so happy; he was finally in love, and she said yes. He couldn't wait for tomorrow. He turned around and started to walk home. For the rest of the day he thought of only one name. Hermione Granger.
