They were worlds apart, and yet when Chloe gazed into Alek's deep, brown eyes full of adoring love for her, she found herself forgetting everything else. The whole world melted away, leaving only the two of them in all the universe. She forgot she was the Uniter and all the duties that entailed. She forgot his hatred of humans, including her mother, her friends, and all the others she loved.
She forgot everything else but him and the special bond they shared, and she trembled inside as he called her name. Their heartbeats roared in her ears, merging into one powerful, loving rhythm that promised to outlast everything else. She was floating when he touched his lips to hers. They soared together on wings of love through the cosmos.
Chloe opened her mouth, granting Alek access to her full being. His tongue dipped expertly into her hot and eager mouth. Curling his tongue around hers, he quested deeper. His arms wrapped around his supple body and held her close. Her brain knew she shouldn't be doing this - not now, not yet, not with some one who hated everything else she held dear -, but the rest of Chloe's being didn't hear her mind's warnings. All that mattered was Alek, herself, and the love they shared.
"Alek!" she moaned, grasping him. She wanted to stay with him like this forever but heard her mother's approach. She snatched away. "You'd better go."
His pink tongue flicked out and tasted the lingering sensation of her lips on his. Her eyes darted to her door; her mother's hand was on the handle. "You say that now," he winked, "but you won't say that forever." He kissed her forehead quickly but was gone when her mother opened the door, leaving her completely breathless and yearning for more.
