DISCLAIMER: I don't own Smallville or any characters from there!
A/N: This was an old fanfic on which I had decided to continue. I posted this on Sweet a long time ago but not sure whether anyone here is even from Sweet shrug The original storyline will change into a new one since I think I should :P
Definition of Amorous: being in love; expressing love
Extra Notes: Not a future fic. Clark and Lana haven't met yet. Clark still has his abilities. Chloe doesn't know Clark but she's best friends with Lana. I might throw in some random characters in too if I have to.
Chapter 1 – Moving
(Lana's POV)
Lana pulled up at the front and stepped out of the car. She observed the house that sat in front of her eyes. It looked small, but the description given to her of the house sounded like it was the kind of house she was looking for. She was determined that this was the house she was going to buy. After seeing the other houses that were on her "list", which didn't really appeal to her, she was starting to get impatient.
This house better be it, she thought.
At the front porch was a lady with blonde hair, about her mid-20s, looking quite irritated herself. Wasting no time, Lana walked to the porch and introduced herself. The blonde lady smiled and greeted her.
"Hello I'm Gina Jackson. And you must be Lana Lang yes?" She extended her hand and shook hands with Lana.
Lana gave her best smile and replied, "Please call me Lana. Ms. Jackson, I'm interested in buying this house".
"So I've heard Ms… Lana. You've read the description on our website so I won't go into any detail about the house anymore than that. The house has been repaired and repainted. Do you have any questions at all?"
Lana shrugged and hoped what she's going to ask wouldn't be so offending, "Um… although I'm interested, I'm wondering why this house hasn't been sold before. It's been up for sale for quite a long time", she stressed on the word long.
Gina looked a bit troubled for a second, but she held back, "Oh no, it's alright. It's just that … people think the house is too small or they have too many children. Don't worry about it". Gina cringed in her mind, knowing the truth that most of the people who moved into the house, moved out less than a week. Rumours have it, that the house is spooked, so Gina hoped that Lana wouldn't see through her lie. "Now about the price…"
Gina took out a piece of paper from her purse and wrote down the number and gave it to Lana. "Is this alright?"
A little higher than I thought but … she thought. "Alright, I'll take it"
"Great!" Gina resisted the big grin on her face; she didn't want to giveanything away now. "So we'll talk about the payment later on and to sign a few papers. You can move in straight away, it's really up to you".
Wow. That was sure fast, Lana thought. "I'll get the movers to collect my stuff in a week and thank you, Ms. Jackson". Finally, a house of my own, I so need to call Chloe about this.
"No. Thank you, Lana. I'll see you soon", with that, Gina Jackson left.
Lana picked up her cell phone from her purse and speed-dialled Chloe's number. "Hello Chloe here"
"Chloe, I finally found the right one!" she exclaimed cheerfully.
"Hey congrats! So how many houses did it take before you would explode?" Lana knew that voice was followed by a smirk. "Chloe, don't get me started", she laughed.
"Alright. So seen any hot guys while--"
"Chloe".
"Okay okay"
- Meanwhile in Gina Jackson's car –
(Gina's POV)
"No, I don't think Ms. Lang knows. I haven't said anything". Or at least I tried not to.
