You enter the room and see Lightman, who has invited you to come here. „You have heard the arguement we had earlier the day?", you know, that it's not the question, if you have seen it. Because, you both know that you did – everybody heard it. „Have you known it?", you sit down at a chair next to him, instead of answearing the same second. „That she had...an secret?", you nod a little bit and think about words you could use carefully. But suddenly you have the wish to make excuses for her.
„She isn't a good liar at all.", that's you try to answear his question without hurting him to much. You want to respond carefully, even if you know, that he is hard enough to tell the truth. But his reaction to your statement lets you know, that your try was unsuccesfull. You groan silently and und look back at the door, to see if it's really closed. „May I be honest with you?", actually this question is some kind of joke, because he allways wants you to be honest with him. But this time it seems neccessary to you, to ask before talking to him the way you want to.
Of course he nods a bit and wants you to go on: „What's the matter with all this? Gillian is a human as we all are. We all lie when we think its better to. Are you angry with her because she lied to you? Come on Lightman. You can't be that angry just because she wanted to protect you. You know why she did that, she couldn't have done something diffrent.", when you stop you look at his face for some seconds and go on: „That's not it, right? You are angry and hurt. But not because she lied, but because you didn't realize that she did!"
You are so involved in this analyses that you don't realize his tries to stop you several times. He is right, he allways was. Nobody can deny, that emotions prevent you from beeing professionel, but you show that you can handle your talent, even if you have to hide your emotions. „You thought you would allways be able to realize when she is lieing, because of her beeing your Gillian."
