The Love of a Pilot
Flying the Cessna!
Kagome was sitting on the couch reading a book called Getting Your Pilots License. She was amazed at all that you had to learn just to get your privates license. You had to learn about the Altitude meter, the compass, the yoke, what buttons to push and when and much, MUCH more. It just seemed like the knowledge you had to possess was so great but Kagome absolutely loved it.
Kagome was a young girl in college at the University of Tokyo. She qualified to get her pilots license when she was sixteen but waited a while. She had been learning to fly with the instructor InuYasha. He was maybe a year older than her but decided to not attend college and become a flight instructor instead since he had had his license since he was sixteen. InuYasha and Kagome had become pretty good friends (A/N: and much more just not yet! *grins* oh shush I know!) since he had started teaching her how to fly on the airports Beechcraft (yes it's spelt right!). She could picture that plane perfectly in her head. It had a blue and silver stripe running down the side and the letters/numbers "N44OSU" on it. The Beechcraft was an okay plane but she longed to fly the Cessna 180.
Kagome sighed and went back to reading her book only to be brought back to Earth by her mom yelling down the stairs at her.
"Kagome! If you don't start heading down to the airport right now you're going to be late!" Ms. Higurashi yelled down the stairs.
"Okay, I'm going." She yelled reluctantly setting down her book and running out the door to her car.
~&~ At the Airport ~&~
It was 9:55, and her lesson started at 10:00. She quickly walked into the small airport only to be met by InuYasha.
"Oh hi!" she said.
"You ready?" he asked. She nodded happily.
Kagome walked over to the sign out sheet and put her name down. She read 'Plane:'
"Hey InuYasha, were flying the Beechcraft right?!" she expected the same answer of 'yeah!' but instead it was different.
"Nope! We're flying the Cessna!" he said grabbing the keys from the rack on the wall. "REALLY?!" she asked her eyes lit up with pure happiness.
"Really."
Kagome quickly finished filling out the form and ran happily out the door to the plane. She stood beside it admiring its beauty while InuYasha was admiring hers as he walked out to her. 'I love seeing her smile; it makes her look even prettier.' He thought 'WHOA! Where'd that come from?' He was suddenly brought back to his senses by Kagome shouting to him.
"Well are we flying or what?!"
"Yeah, we're flying!" InuYasha answered.
"Well then come on ya' slowpoke!"
Soon they were up in the air with Kagome driving the plane and InuYasha sitting there ready to take action should she lose control. Kagome pulled the scrunchie out of her hair and cracked open the window. They were at low enough altitude to have the windows open. She sighed and let the wind blow around her hair. She was flying the Cessna, the plane she had admired from afar.
So you like it hate it? R&R people cause I gotta know! lol
