Danny smiled as he looked at the small ice crystal in his hand. It had taken him countless hours to produce one that was in a different shape than a diamond. The light-blue crystal was heart shaped. One side had 'SM' carved in, the other had 'DF'.
"Dude, what's that?" Tucker pointed to the crystal. "Don't tell me that you're giving that to Sam. It's gonna melt."
"No, it won't. I've made countless other crystals and none of them have melted yet. I've spent hours trying to make this one. Besides, it's the thought that counts, not the gift." Danny smiled as he pocketed the crystal. "Ixnay on the iftgay."
"Hey guys." Sam leaned on the locker next to Danny.
"Hey Sam." The two boy chorused.
"What's the plan today?" Sam looked at the black-haired boy next to her.
"The usual. Spend the afternoon at the Nasty Burger." Danny shrugged. "Unless Skullker or the Box Ghost decide to show up."
The bell rang and others started to walk towards their first period class. "Let's head to class so we won't be late." Tucker started to walk away.
"We'll be along in a minute. I need to talk to Sam privately." Danny smiled.
"Okay. See ya in Lancer's." Tucker left the two alone.
"Um...here." Danny reached into his pocket and handed the crystal to Sam. "Happy Valentine's Day, Sammie."
"Wow, it's beautiful. Danny, thanks." Sam grinned. She leaned over to kiss the black-haired boy. "Happy Valentine's Day, Danny."
