Dear Diary
Disclaimer: I am not J.K Rowling
"Tuney! Tuney! Please wait!" Lily panted following Petunia out of her room. Lily was reading a potion book Severus had lent her and Petunia had come in to call her for dinner and found her reading about that abnormal world. At first Petunia was shocked then she was just plain furious.
"Sorry but I don't talk to freaks!" Petunia huffed marching out of Lily's colorful room into her plain olive green and brown one. Even though Lily despised the awful colors, she followed her anyway. Lily had always been very close to her older sister and she needed to make up with her.
"Tuney, please." Her voice was brittle and high pitched and her eyes were filling up with tears.
"Please what?" Petunia spat glaring at her.
"I can ask the headmaster once I get there no- Tuney! Listen to me please. I can ask him to accept you to Hogwarts." Petunia's face changed from pale to red. And then she laughed coldly.
"Why would I like to be accepted into a school for freaks? It's just a stupid freak school for freaky people like you." At this point tears were streaming down Lily's freckled face. Petunia's heart softened and she felt a lump plant itself on her throat. She didn't want to hurt her baby sister but Lily was such a brat! Why couldn't she go to a magical school? Petunia felt like crying but she did not want Lily see her cry.
She let out a strained sound, gave Lily one last furious looked and slammed the door on her face. Petunia groaned and lied down on her bed. She pulled out her leather bound diary and pencil. She opened it to a random page like she always did when she was upset something and began to write.
Dear Diary,
I hate her. I absolutely hate Lily. She get's to go to a magical school and practice spells and potions and charms and other abnormalities. But they're amazing! I wish I got to go to a magical school. And I could be the witch! No Petunia what are you saying? Mum and dad only pay attention to Lily now. Lily this Lily that. I try to get them to pay attention to me. I get perfect marks and have good manners! But only being a witch matters. I wonder if I'm ever going to make up with her. I sure hope so. No Petunia stop saying that; she's a freak!
Since Lily is starting her freak school next month, mum took Lily, Lily's freak friend Severus Snape and I to the cinema. We saw a movie called "Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory". It was about a boy named Charlie or something who went to a magical chocolate factory. It was beyond horrible. That Snape boy kept interrupting the movie by mumbling "Thanks for taking me Mrs. Evans." to mum, Lily kept saying how amazing it would be to live in the chocolate factory while Snape says, "You should see our world.", and worst of all it reminded me of Lily's freak world.
The only highlight was afterwards Lily wanted to go to the candy store because she was craving candy and I finally made a friend! His name is Vernon Dursley. He is very kind to me. He's rather large (don't tell Lily I think so she's been teasing me about it all day!). Lily doesn't like him much but I don't care! He just moved in near us because he got accepted into a fancy private school, Smeltings that's not far from my house. He's 13 like me. Wow. I just figured something out. Vernon was my first real friend since Lily! Well if you don't count Millicent from school but she's practically a gossiping buddy.
Oh, that's mum calling me for dinner. Bye for now.
~-Petunia Evans
And she snapped her diary closed and rubbed her eyes and fixed her hair and went downstairs to greet her noodles and possibly make up with Lily.
