Harry watched as a small figure flitted through the sky, just a little green and white dot amongst all the rain and clouds. Swearing under his breath, he threw his leg over his broom and soared up in the sky, holding tight as to not get knocked off by the wind.
"Draco!" Harry yelled as he neared the figure. He watched as the man stopped and turned towards him, a scowl already on his face.
"What the hell do you want, golden boy?" Malfoy yelled back. "Why don't you go fly back to your lover in the Great Hall?"
Harry sighed. He and Draco were currently tumbling through a rocky friendship since the re-building days of Hogwarts. Harry was slowly coming to the conclusion that Draco was the thing he was missing all those years and he thought that Draco felt the same way about him. Until, of course, fate had it's way of tearing the option out of Harry's hands.
Draco had walked in to the Great Hall just when a burly Ravenclaw boy had been pressing himself up to Harry. Draco had run off before Harry could explain and had obviously come outside to fly in this dangerous weather.
"Draco! Just- please, listen to me!" Harry pleaded as the Slytherin was about to fly away again. "I don't even know that boy's name! You're the only one I want!"
Harry felt himself blush furiously as the words left his mouth but he couldn't deny them. He wasn't nearly as upset when he saw Draco's expression of shock and perhaps a bit of hope. Harry took the chance to fly up to him and bring their brooms within touching distance.
"You shouldn't fly in this weather, Draco. It's dangerous- even if I do enjoy the way the water drips down your pretty nose. And how gorgeous your hair looks when it's wet and tangled," Harry couldn't stop himself now. He let all his words pour out like the rain. "This weather is not for flying. It's for cuddling up in front of the fire with a hot cup of tea."
Draco closed his eyes and reached out, his hand just barely grazing Harry's knuckles. "You'd do that with me?"
Harry stared at him. "There is nothing I want more than that, right now."
"Really?" Draco opened his eyes and leaned in closer, their brooms knocking against each other in the wind. "Me too."
Grinning, Harry pulled him closer and kissed him, closing his eyes against the water droplets that threatened to drown him in bliss.
