"Where's Sheldon?" Amy asked the room filled with her friends after she walked through the door. She was excited to see her boyfriend and wondered how he would greet her this time. Since having gotten closer, sometimes he greeted her with a hug, sometimes a kiss, she never knew what to expect.
"In his room, he'll be out in a second." Leonard answered from his chair with a mouth full of tai food. Penny nodded and looked behind her to the hallway before leaning back into the couch, silently eating her food. Howard sat beside her, Raj on the floor in front of him. The only spot left appeared to be Sheldon's.
"Okay…" Amy trailed off, feeling awkward standing in the middle of the room. The gang soon resumed their conversations and Amy set her stuff on the floor before taking a seat at the kitchen island so she wouldn't have to stand.
"Leonard…" Penny whispered to him so her friend wouldn't hear. "She's sitting all alone over there, I feel bad." The blonde bit her lip before adding quietly "Should we make room for her over here?"
Shrugging, Raj mumbled to the group "Yeah, she can sit with me on the floor. What a fun time to be alive."
Coming out of his room, Sheldon stopped short in his tracks when he spotted Amy sitting all alone in the kitchen. He was conflicted, while he wanted to greet his girlfriend in the best possible way; he had some things to take care of as well.
"Good evening, Amy." He said softly with a smile and eyes to match. Amy instantly looked up from the counter and her lips curled up to show just how happy she was to see him.
Before anything else, Sheldon strode over to Amy in the kitchen and took her by the waist, pulling her to him and pressing his forehead to hers. He could hear her breathing quietly, and whispered something to her before pulling her in for a quick hug.
Amy was surprised when Sheldon pulled away so suddenly, and was even more confused at what he said after that.
"Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go take care of something."
And for a moment, Amy just stared after him as he walked swiftly into the living room and stood right in front of Penny. She instantly stopped what she was doing and craned her neck to look up at him, a frown plastered against her lips.
"Get up." Sheldon ordered, and Penny quickly swallowed her food before saying "What?! Why me?!" causing Leonard and the rest of the guys to groan in unison.
"That's Amy's spot." Leonard grumbled, taking another bite of his food. The blonde waitress looked to Raj, who just nodded and cast his eyes to the floor, and Sheldon continued to glare at her; waiting for her to move. Amy watched on in silence.
"Leonard's right, Penny. Also, I should inform you; this will result in a strike. Now, as I said before, get up so Amy has a place to sit."
Penny looked to Leonard helplessly as he just shrugged, so she glared back at Sheldon as she got up and walked over to her boyfriend's chair, plopping herself on his lap in irritation. Although he welcomed her with open arms, she was no less happy about it.
"Sheldon, she didn't have to do that…" Amy trailed off as she wandered from the kitchen into the living room. She watched as her boyfriend nodded and walked over to her, taking her hand.
"Yes she did, this is your spot. If it means you'll get to sit closer to me, I'd make anyone move."
Making no objections, Amy smiled and took her seat next to Sheldon and once he sat down he immediately took her hand in his, and there it remained for the rest of the time they spent together.
