A/N: Hey I'm back so here's another fic… been sick… just enjoy my story…
Reviews are welcome! Thank you
He strode into the inner office. He walked right up to the desk, pandering over the questions that begged to slip from his tongue. The dark eyes shifted from the papers to his golden orbs. He took a deep breath, and found no voice leaving his lips. The words had escaped him.
That sly grin that slid across the handsome features irked him. It mocked him and deemed him unworthy to speak to the man sitting before him. The blond shifted, searching for his lost words; feeling like a fool standing in front of the wonderful teasing man.
"Something wrong Hagane no?" the elder crooned. The voice was beautiful, a dulcet sound that made the teen want to just melt.
He bit his lip to hold back a groan, and thought for a moment. He opened his mouth to find himself still speechless. A light blush graced his nose his gaze dropped to the floor. He shuffled a foot and whispered in a barely audible voice, "What are you doing next week?"
The older blinked. "What?"
The golden eyes snapped up, "I said, what are you doing for Thanksgiving?"
He didn't move. He wondered if his subordinate had gone mad. "Why does it matt-"
"Because!" the blond cried out. "Because-because, I wanted to be with you," he mumbled quickly.
The smirk faded. "Are you really asking me this or is this some stupid prank of yours?"
"Of course you wouldn't fucking believe me!" he said frustrated. "You wouldn't care, you wouldn't…You don't, you wont." He slumped down on the leather couch. Tears filled his eyes.
"Edward?" the man called softly.
The boy gave a choked sound, but looked up, in surprise, at his own name.
Being informal was not how the great Roy Mustang became Colonel, though his youngest teammate needed to be talked to, and at times much like a child. He sat beside the teen, who was trying to wipe tears away rather quickly.
He chuckled softly.
"What?" the boy demanded.
"Nothing," he wrapped an arm around the younger's shoulders. "I just think it's cute that you're asking me out."
A bright blush spread across his whole face. "I was not!"
"Yes you were. You want to know if I'm free for the holidays and you don't have anyone to spend them with, so you thought you would ask me. And you thought that if I didn't have anyone to spend my time off with, you would try to get a little closer to me," he whispered teasingly into the blond's ear.
"H-how?" the surprised look made Roy laugh.
"If you want to be with me, then just ask," he smiled down at his young subordinate.
The teen nodded.
Mustang rolled his eyes. "You're acting like a little kid."
"I'm not little!" he pouted.
With a laugh, the man mumbled, "Would you like to go out for dinner tonight?"
The blond blinked, taking in his sudden question. "I would like that very much."
"Good," he purred in the boy's ear. "Wear something really nice. I'll be waiting for you at seven." He tilted the angel face towards him, placing a light kiss to the untouched lips.
Edward gave a giggle as he pulled away. "I'll be waiting."
The elder stood and returned to his desk. Resuming his fascinating job of signing paper after paper, he watched the blond turn to leave.
"Oh, um Roy?" he looked back over his shoulder.
"Yes?" he paused, glancing up.
"Thanks," he received a warm smile as the blond exited the office.
