"How Was School Today?"

----------

To the public, Rhode Kamelot was just another thirteen-year-old with a fetish for miniskirts. To the public, Rhode Kamelot was a girl who was cheerful and fun, a popular girl at school even though she skipped class a lot. To the public, Rhode Kamelot wasn't anybody important.

Rhode Kamelot was important.

Of course, her "friends" at school wouldn't know. They didn't need too, and if they got too close to the truth (not that any ever did), she kill them. Of course, she'd have some fun doing it. She'd mess with their mind a bit, torture them some, maybe kill their pet cat in front of them. Then she'd kill them. No big deal. Lero might scream at her some, but it wasn't bothersome.

At school, Rhode had lots of friends, and the teachers had mixed feelings. They hated her because she skipped class and was nearly flunking and didn't give one shit. They felt sorry for her because she didn't have much of a family or even an actual home, in their eyes. Of course, Rhode really did have a home and stable family, but people these days wouldn't care for tales of how she and her family were related to some religious figure who didn't exist. Well, at least to them.

The school Rhode went to was a public school, so the dress code was lax. Even so, the teachers still got on case when she wore miniskirts, saying it was indecent for a girl so young, that men would "mess with her" for it. Not that she cared. If anybody tried anything, she'd take them somewhere secluded, threaten them, and pull a jack-o-lantern face. That usually sent them running for mommy.

Rhode was usually the center of all the rumors in the school, mostly because she didn't come nearly as often as the other kids did. When somebody asked her where she went, she'd smile and say, "oh, here and there," in her best psuedo-cheery voice, and skip off to class. Not that she paid the teachers any attention. She'd wait for homework, and get Tyki to help her later.

Usually there were about five people hanging around Rhode. She enjoyed the attention and milked it for all was worth. She'd manipulate her lackies to buy her one of the crappy school lunches, and maybe giving her the answers to last week's math homework. Perhaps she'd get them to give her dinner at their house, so she wouldn't have to deal with Skin and his anger problems. Did Lero do anything BUT scream or taunt? Of course, Rhode never took her friends home with her. Her family wasn't all that pleasant to be around, and they didn't have anything to do at her house. Well, for your average wimpy human.

A typical day for Rhode was wake up, get ready for and go to school. Get pestered by the teachers about her miniskirts and ditch math. Talk her friends into buying her lunch, and maybe mess with the counselor a bit. Go to a different friend's house and chat about random things, and go home. Get yelled at by Lero and bother the Earl, then ask Tyki for homework help, not that he was any help anyways. Sleep came after dinner and torturing some poor Level 1 or 2 akuma, and the cycle started over again. Unless, of course, she was playing her part in the Earl's scenario. Then it was interesting. It could be anything from killing exorcists and making sure there were not Cross-converted akuma around.

To the public, Rhode was just a little girl with a typical life.

To anyone else, Rhode was a Noah and a force to be reckoned with, no even feared.

Author's note: So how was this? This was my first (completed) fic. Just a one-shot I wrote for myself, but I want to hear everybody's thoughts on it.

This wasn't a one-shot so much as a sort-of character study of Rhode's "white" life.
