Short oneshot set Season 4 of Buffy, a couple of days before attempting to deal with Adam. If you would like to continue it, feel free. Just be sure to credit me for the inspiration.
It was chaos in the Magic Box. All of the Scoobies were preparing for the coming confrontation with Adam and the Initiative in their own way. Buffy was training, Willow, Tara, Xander and Giles were memorizing the empowerment ritual, and Anya was making sure that they had all the stuff that they'd need. It was then that Willow noticed something potentially problematic, put on her Resolve Face, and stated "We need more girls."
Everyone stopped what they were doing, knowing that when Willow put on her Resolve Face, that it was important. It was Xander who asked the question on everyone's mind. "Why? I mean, not that I'd mind the addition of more lovely looking ladies, but why do we need more?"
Willow looked at him, than at everyone else as if they'd all missed something vital. She sighed. "What is this ritual supposed to do?"
Giles answered "It's supposed to empower Buffy with the spirit of the First Slayer, to give her the strength she needs to defeat Adam."
"Do you think the First Slayer would have a particularly high opinion of men, given that it was a bunch of men that caused her a lot of pain and ensured her early death?"
Giles was a bit taken aback, and a glimmer of understanding dawned on his face. "Ah, no."
"So don't you think that she'd be more then a little annoyed that half of the summoners asking for her help are men?"
Giles and Xander gulped as the implications became clear. Giles cleared his throat, and said "Right. Thank you Willow, for bringing that important point to our attention. Everyone, please start thinking of girls that could take the places of myself and Xander in the ritual."
And chaos returned.
