Pretty sure that Edward is Alices Bro ? Maybe they had to share a bed of somthing, and she said that she would sleep on the floor.. and he told her noway.. or something like that. Been 12 months since I last read it.. can't remember title or anything. Anyway, any other suggestions are loved :P
