Hi. This is my first publish fanfic. Be gentle. The fic is based off of the song, "Forever and Always by Parachute". It's a little upsetting so be prepared to cry a bit. I don't own the Inuyasha Characters of the song sadly. Hope you like it! Enjoy~!

Kagome sat at her desk in her room, staring blankly out the window waiting for Inuyasha to burst though it and save her from boredom. She had graduated from high school. There was nothing more for her to do. Eri had gotten married along with Yuka. Ayumi had a job as an assistant for the local animal shelter, the one she's always dreamed of. Then there was Kagome, her and Inuyasha had finally made their relationship official and where planned to get married at the end of the year and Naraku had been defeated. Never had she thought that this would happen. Thinking about it Kagome felt the ring around her finger to make sure it wasn't an evil dream playing tricks on her feelings. It wasn't.
Returning her attention to the new moon, Kagome was getting worried. Inuyasha said he would be back by now. Did something happen?
"Kagome! Come quick!" Souta yelled up to her. She went downstairs to see her younger brother's eyes glued to the television. On it was a picture of a car crash. Her worst fears were answered when she saw a human Inuyasha being wheeled off on a stretcher. Kagome stood paralyzed by the shier shock. Her mother snapped her out of her stupor when she tugged Kagome out of the house and into the car. They drove to the hospital and asked the lady at the counter which room he was in. Kagome sped walked down the never-ending hallways to room 506. Of course it had to be the last one on the floor! Memories of the snow month flew through Kagome's head. That was the time he asked her to be his and only his. Kagome reached the room what she saw was unbelievable. Inuyasha was wired with all sorts of tubes and was hooked up to a heart monitor which was beeping in rhythm. "Kagome," his voice rasped and she was at his side in an instant. Tears threaten to fall but she held them back for his sake. Now there was not chance they were never going to get married, have kids, or grow old together. The thoughts depressed her. An idea came to her head though. Kagome kissed Inuyasha's forehead and left the room without a word. She called up the priest at her church telling him to come immediately. Walking over to the next room where she'd meet a married couple she asked them a favor.
Before they knew it the priest was saying a few words and Kagome and Inuyasha were officially wed. They invited the couple next door and Kagome's family. Everyone was enjoying themselves not even thinking about what had happened today. Afterwards they all left to give Kagome and Inuyasha privacy. The heart monitor was slowly fading away as the beeps where getting longer. Kagome fell to her knees, crying into his chest. "K-agome…. I love you...," He coughed from the amount of energy he was using. Kagome begged him rest, but he shoved the worry off and continued, "Through the good, the bad… and the ugly. Just remember… even if I'm not there I'll love you forever and always." The monitor made a long beep as Inuyasha closes his eyes and his head went limp on the pillow. Kagome sobbed and gripped onto the bed sheets crying until she fell asleep, Inuyasha watching over her all the while.
